Get outside to enjoy live music this summer throughout the city. While many concert series were put on hold for Summer 2020, there are finally some on the schedule now. There are free outdoor concerts around Columbus on various nights of the week that would make great outings for the family, a date, or with your friends.

Summer Outdoor Concert Series for 2020
Live @ Polaris Free Summer Concert Series: Thursdays, July 2 – August 20 from 6:45-9:15 pm in the Parking Lot in front of the Food Hall and Dave & Busters (new location for 2020) Bring lawn chairs!

Sunday Outdoor Concerts
Goodale Park Music Series: July 7 – August 11, 2019. Sunday afternoons from 12:30 pm – 2 pm. Bring a picnic and a blanket and enjoy the music at the gazebo. There will be food carts selling food, live art, activities for kids, and more. See schedule here.
Whitehall Music in the Park: Sundays at John Bishop Park at 6:30 pm from June 2 – July 28; except a few which are starting early for special early activities.
Concerts on the Green at Bryn Du Mansion: Select Sundays (plus Memorial Day) beginning at 6:30 p.m. FREE performances on the Back Lawn of the Bryn Du Mansion, 537 Jones Road, Granville (if rain – check website for indoor location). Concerts will start at 6:30PM and will be a 90 minute set with no intermission. Food truck will be on site. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and picnics. See schedule here.
Sundays at Scioto: June 9 – July 28, 2019. Sunday evenings at 7 p.m. in the Scioto Park amphitheater, 7377 Riverside Dr., in Dublin. Blankets and lawn chairs are recommended. Donations are accepted. See schedule here.
Pickerington Summer Concert Series: 1st Sunday of the month from June-August at Sycamore Creek Park Amphitheater from 7-8:30 pm.
Concerts on the Green in Worthington Sundays at 7 p.m. through mid-August. Free family-friendly concerts at Village Green at the corner of High Street and Dublin-Granville Road.
Hilliard Summer Concert Series: June 16-August 25, 2019 Sundays at 7 pm at Norwich St. Gazebo, unless otherwise noted. There are concerts on several other dates; check the schedule for more information. Rain location: Hilliard Civic and Cultural Arts Center 5425 Center St.
North Columbus Civitan Park of Roses: Sundays at 7 pm at the Gazebo in the Park of Roses from May 19 -September 1. Concerts will move to the Shelter House for inclement weather. Free snow cones are available most nights beginning in June. Bring a blanket or chairs. Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome.

Lolli-Pops! Summer Children’s Concert Series on Mondays, once a month at 10:30 a.m. at the Village Green Amphitheater.
Tuesday Outdoor Concerts
Music on the Lawn at Grandview Heights Public Library on Tuesdays in June and July from 7:30-8:30 pm. If unsure of the weather, call 614-486-2951 after 6 pm about possible cancellation. See schedule here.
Wednesday Outdoor Concerts
“Sounds on the Town” Concert Series at Easton Town Square on Wednesdays, June 5 through August 28 from 6:00-9:00 p.m.
Thursday Outdoor Concerts
Celebration at the Station: Thursdays, 6:30-9:00 pm. June through August at Hilliard’s Station Park (exept July 5). Food trucks and Old Hilliard restaurants are available for dining. Adults 21+ can participate in DORA.Water fountains turn off at 3 pm on concert days.
Downtown Live Summer Concert Series: Thursdays from July 11 – August 1 at Columbus Bicentennial Pavilion at Columbus Commons. The bar will open at 5:30 p.m. and the music will start at 7 p.m. Different food trucks will be on site each week for dinner or snacks.
Thursday Evening Concerts in the Park at Gallant Woods Preserve on Thursdays from 7- 8:30 pm July 11 through August 15. Bring chairs, blankets, and a picnic (no alcohol)
Gahanna Music in the Parks: Select Thursdays at Friendship Park, 150 Oklahoma Ave from 6:30 pm – 8 pm. Family-friendly June 6, June 20, July 18, August 1, August 15, August 29
Heritage Music Festival Concert Series at King Lincoln District: Thursdays, July 11 through August 15, the Mt. Vernon corridor of the King Lincoln District. This free concert series will run each week from 6 – 9 p.m. (5:30-8:30 starting August 8). Events are family-friendly with vendors, food court, and a nearby playground.
Evenings on the Green at Ohio Village: Select Thursdays from 5-8 pm. Relax and enjoy live music and a short conversation about the history of different music scenes in Columbus. Explore Ohio Village, play 19th century games on the village green and try out some old-fashioned crafts. Grab dinner from a local food truck or bring a picnic dinner. Beer, wine and soft drinks will be for sale (no outside alcohol is permitted). Drinks and snacks will also be available for sale in the John Hauck Foundation Welcome Center store. Evenings on the Green is included with pay-what-you-want admission. Ohio History Connection Members and children 3 and under are free. In the case of the rain, music will be played in Ohio Village Church.

Friday Outdoor Concerts
Friday Nights Uptown in Marysville: Community block party with music, food, and fun at Partner’s Park frm 6-10 pm. May 17, June 7, August 16 & 17, July 12, October 4
Gahanna Creekside Live: Select Fridays from June through August. Family friendly entertainment, dancing and adult beverage sales at Creekside, Gahanna. Acoustic performers will be playing throughout Creekside from 5pm to 7pm, headliner starts at 7 p.m.
Grove City Summer Sizzle Concert Series: Fridays, May 24-August 16 at 7 p.m. at the George Edge Music Park on Broadway, also featuring free family-oriented activities.
Franklinton Fridays Music Series: On the 2nd Friday of the month during Franklinton Fridays, CoverMyMeds is presenting a free summer concert series at the Idea Foundry (421 West State Street) all summer long! Every show highlights a local artist’s poster design and two Columbus performers.
Saturday Outdoor Concerts
Westerville Jazz Series: Saturdays, June 22 – July 27 (except June 20) Free performances at the Alum Creek Amphitheater, 221 W. Main St. The events begin at 6 p.m. unless otherwise noted.
PBJ and Jazz Free Summer Outdoor Kids’ Concerts on the 2nd Saturday of each month through September at Topiary Park from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Enjoy storytime, concert and picnic, and art activity.

Concert Series with Admission
The following concerts require admission, but are worth the extra money for a special outing.
Popcorn Pops with Columbus Symphony Orchestra: Fun concerts for kids at Columbus Commons with lots of activities and play. Tickets are $10-$12, and an outdoor movie will follow the concert at dusk.
Picnic with the Pops at Columbus Commons: Featuring National acts, Picnic with the Pops is such a fun experience. Tickets start at $10-$25, but you can bring your own picnic and alcoholic beverages to enjoy, which makes it more affordable than the typical concert experience. Food and beverages are also available for purchase.
JazZoo Concert Series at the Columbus Zoo: Tickets for these concerts with Columbus Jazz Orchestra are $35 and include admission to the Zoo all day before the concert.
