Get outside to enjoy live music this summer throughout the city. While many outdoor concert series will be back for Summer 2021, precautions will still likely be in place. There are free outdoor concerts around Columbus on various nights of the week that would make great outings for the family, a date, or with your friends.

Summer Outdoor Concert Series for 2021
Thursdays, May 6 – September, 2021 from 6 – 9 pm. Sit on a nearby patio, or grab a social distancing hoop on The Yard to enjoy the show. Shows will take place in The Yard – Easton’s newest district, located north of Macy’s and east of Nordstrom.
Thursdays, June 3 – August 26, 2021 from 6:45-9:15 pm in the parking lot out from the Main Entrance by the Flag Poles. Bring lawn chairs!
Free live music at Hilliard’s Station Park in Old Hilliard on Thursdays from June 3 – August 12 during Hilliard’s DORA (designated outdoor refreshment area). See more details and band schedule here.

Friday, April 23: Live music from Bryan Olsheski Jazz Group! Bryan will be performing from 5-6 PM and the food trucks will be available from 5-7 PM.
Friday, May 28: Live music from Pianist Tony Hagood and his klezmer ensemble! Tony will be performing from 5-6 PM and the food trucks will be available from 5-7 PM. This month’s event also features the Bexley Women’s Club Family Chalk Collage!

Music in the Park is a free summer concert series held on the third Friday of May, June, and July, featuring live entertainment and family-friendly activities at Stradley Place
Friday, May 21 at 6 pm – May’s Music in the park features Touch-a-Truck. There will be trucks and cars from police & fire. Touch-A-Truck will feature vehicles from Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office, Madison Township Police Department, and Madison Township Fire Department, with live music and emcee Mike Walker.
Friday, June 18 at 6 pm – The June event features live music and a variety of tractors.
Friday, July 16 at 6 pm – July’s Music in the Park will feature live music and a car show.

Dublin Arts Council presents Sundays at Scioto on Sunday evenings at 7 p.m. Blankets and lawn chairs are recommended. Donations are accepted. All eight artist groups that were originally booked for 2020 will perform in Dublin this year. Genres vary each week and range from pop and soul to tribute and World music.

Hilliard Arts Council Extended Summer Concert Series, Sundays at Hilliard Civic & Cultural Arts Center, 5425 Center Street, Hilliard. Concerts will be held in the grass between the front door and the mural. Bring a chair and sit on the driveway, or listen from your car.

Aesop’s Fables (outdoors) with New Albany Symphony Orchestra: Saturday, September 26 for three shows at the New Albany Marx Library Garden. Tickets are $10.
Hilliard Summer Concert Series: July 19-August 30, 2020. Sundays at 7 pm at Hilliard Civic and Cultural Arts Center 5425 Center St. Concerts will be performed on the grass between the front door and mural. You can pull up and listen from your car, or bring chairs to sit in the driveway. Be sure to allow plenty of room between other patrons. Packaged concessions will be available for purchase. Friday Nights Uptown in Marysville: Cancelled for 2020. Community block party with music, food, and fun at Partner’s Park from 6-10 pm. August 21 and October 2.
Goodale Park Music Series: Cancelled for 2020. Sunday afternoons from 12:30 pm – 2 pm. Bring a picnic and a blanket and enjoy the music at the gazebo. There will be food carts selling food, live art, activities for kids, and more. See schedule here.
Whitehall Music in the Park: Cancelled for 2020. Sundays at John Bishop Park at 6:30 pm except a few which are starting early for special early activities.
Concerts on the Green at Bryn Du Mansion: Cancelled for 2020. Select Sundays (plus Memorial Day) beginning at 6:30 p.m. FREE performances on the Back Lawn of the Bryn Du Mansion, 537 Jones Road, Granville (if rain – check website for indoor location). Concerts will start at 6:30PM and will be a 90 minute set with no intermission. Food truck will be on site. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and picnics. See schedule here.
Concerts on the Green in Worthington. Cancelled for 2020. Sundays at 7 p.m. Free family-friendly concerts at Village Green at the corner of High Street and Dublin-Granville Road.
North Columbus Civitan Park of Roses: Cancelled for 2020. Sundays at 7 pm at the Gazebo in the Park of Roses from May 19 -September 1. Concerts will move to the Shelter House for inclement weather. Free snow cones are available most nights beginning in June. Bring a blanket or chairs. Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome.

Lolli-Pops! Summer Children’s Concert Series Cancelled for 2020. On Mondays, once a month at 10:30 a.m. at the Village Green Amphitheater.
Tuesday Outdoor Concert Series
Music on the Lawn at Grandview Heights Public Library Cancelled for 2020. Tuesdays in June and July from 7:30-8:30 pm. If unsure of the weather, call 614-486-2951 after 6 pm about possible cancellation. See schedule here.

Thursday Outdoor Concert Series
Downtown Live Summer Concert Series: Cancelled for 2020. Thursdays from July 11 – August 1 at Columbus Bicentennial Pavilion at Columbus Commons. The bar will open at 5:30 p.m. and the music will start at 7 p.m. Different food trucks will be on site each week for dinner or snacks.
Thursday Evening Concerts in the Park at Gallant Woods Preserve Cancelled for 2020. Thursdays from 7- 8:30 pm July 11 through August 15. Bring chairs, blankets, and a picnic (no alcohol)
Gahanna Music in the Parks: Cancelled for 2020. Select Thursdays at Friendship Park, 150 Oklahoma Ave from 6:30 pm – 8 pm. Family-friendly June 6, June 20, July 18, August 1, August 15, August 29
Heritage Music Festival Concert Series at King Lincoln District: Thursdays, July 9 through August 13, the Mt. Vernon corridor of the King Lincoln District. This free concert series will run each week from 6 – 9 p.m. (5:30-8:30 in August). Events are family-friendly with vendors, food court, and a nearby playground.
Evenings on the Green at Ohio Village: Cancelled for 2020. Select Thursdays from 5-8 pm. Relax and enjoy live music and a short conversation about the history of different music scenes in Columbus. Explore Ohio Village, play 19th century games on the village green and try out some old-fashioned crafts. Grab dinner from a local food truck or bring a picnic dinner. Beer, wine and soft drinks will be for sale (no outside alcohol is permitted). Drinks and snacks will also be available for sale in the John Hauck Foundation Welcome Center store. Evenings on the Green is included with pay-what-you-want admission. Ohio History Connection Members and children 3 and under are free. In the case of the rain, music will be played in Ohio Village Church.
Friday Outdoor Concert Series
Gahanna Creekside Live: Cancelled for 2020. Select Fridays from June through August. Family friendly entertainment, dancing and adult beverage sales at Creekside, Gahanna. Acoustic performers will be playing throughout Creekside from 5pm to 7pm, headliner starts at 7 p.m.
Grove City Summer Sizzle Concert Series: Cancelled for 2020. Fridays, May 24-August 16 at 7 p.m. at the George Edge Music Park on Broadway, also featuring free family-oriented activities.
Franklinton Fridays Music Series: Cancelled for 2020. On the 2nd Friday of the month during Franklinton Fridays, CoverMyMeds is presenting a free summer concert series at the Idea Foundry (421 West State Street) all summer long! Every show highlights a local artist’s poster design and two Columbus performers.
Saturday Outdoor Concert Series
Westerville Jazz Series: Cancelled for 2020. Free performances at the Alum Creek Amphitheater, 221 W. Main St. The events begin at 6 p.m. unless otherwise noted.
PBJ and Jazz Free Summer Outdoor Kids’ Concerts Cancelled for 2020. 2nd Saturday of each month through September at Topiary Park from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Enjoy storytime, concert and picnic, and art activity.

Outdoor Concert Series with Admission
The following concerts require admission, but are worth the extra money for a special outing.
Popcorn Pops with Columbus Symphony Orchestra: Cancelled for 2020. Fun concerts for kids at Columbus Commons with lots of activities and play. Tickets are $10-$12, and an outdoor movie will follow the concert at dusk.
Picnic with the Pops at Columbus Commons: May return for 2021; details tba. Featuring National acts, Picnic with the Pops is such a fun experience. Tickets start at $10-$25, but you can bring your own picnic and alcoholic beverages to enjoy, which makes it more affordable than the typical concert experience. Food and beverages are also available for purchase.
JazZoo Concert Series at the Columbus Zoo: Cancelled for 2020. Tickets for these concerts with Columbus Jazz Orchestra are $35 and include admission to the Zoo all day before the concert.
Lane Avenue Summer Concert Series: Not yet announced for 2019. Thursdays from 7-9 pm, June 7-July 26 at The Shops on Lane Avenue. Bring a blanket and head to the courtyard for some great music.
