Are you ready to be scared? Halloween is almost here – are you brave enough for these Haunted Woods, Haunted Farms, and Haunted Houses around Columbus. Check the links for additional details and don’t be a scared-y cat! Haunts are listed in order of distance from Downtown Columbus.
Note: some photos from attractions have been included below. If you are not into the scares of haunted houses, we recommend that you do not continue to scroll the page. However, nothing more gruesome than a scary Halloween costume is included.
Haunted Woods and Haunted Houses around Columbus in 2020
13th Floor Haunted House
2605 Northland Plaza Dr, Columbus (located 13 miles from downtown Columbus) 7:30 p.m. to midnight Fridays, Saturdays September 17 through November 7; most Sundays from 7-10 pm, and select mid-week days in October.
In order to eliminate lines and crowding in 2020, all guests will be VIP! Pick the time you’d like to arrive and enjoy the attraction intimately with your group. Due to the nature of this new event, tickets will be limited.
Tickets for 13th Floor Haunted House are $24.99-$29.99 per person. Dates WILL sell out, so schedule in advance
Haunted Hoochie at Dead Acres
13861 E. Broad St., Pataskala – open at 8:30.p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays, September 17 through October 31. Located 17 miles from downtown Columbus. (740-927-3568)
$25 for admission to 2 haunts (Haunted Hoochie and Bad Trip in 3D), or $45 for VIP tickets; $5 off on Thursdays and opening weekend. Not recommended for young children.
Special Rules for 2020. Attraction is open on Thursdays for groups of 10 or less. On Fridays and Saturdays, you must be in a group of 10 to get in. E-ticket (either paper or mobile version) must be provided, along with the credit card used to make the ticket purchase. All tickets will be scanned for validity. Attraction reserves the right to deny anyone entry for any reason. No refunds.
Pataskala Haunted Forest
8838 Refugee Rd. S.W., Pataskala. 23 miles from Downtown Columbus. (740-975-7812) Open 7 p.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays in October. Trek through the woods will last about 45 minutes, and you may encounter mud and water, so dress appropriately.
Admission is $15 for 2020. There will be family or group rate announced soon. All tickets will be sold online this year for a specific date and time. Parking is free. Proceeds benefit Pataskala Lions Club.
Haunted Farm
5450 Old Millersport Rd., Pleasantville. (740-205-7460) 30 miles from Columbus. Haunted barn maze, haunted corn maze, and haunted hayride. Live Entertainment on specific nights. Fridays and Saturdays from September 25-November 7; hours 7:30 – 11:30 p.m.
Admission is $20 for adults, and $15 for those under age 15. Scare levels can be adjusted for children of all ages, but parents should make the determination whether kids are ready for this type of experience.

Field of Fright at Little Darby Creek
8657 Axe Handle Rd., Milford Center. Located 34 miles from downtown Columbus. Field of Fright Haunted Path is open on Friday and Saturdays, October 9-31, 2020 after dark. All Field of Fright tickets must be purchased online.
Base admission & Field of Fright (Does not include Hayride, Corn Cannons, Pie Pumpkin, Pumpkin Blaster or Paintball Pandemonium). Ages 59 & under: $16.00

Haunted Car Wash at Rock N Wash Car Wash
752 Hebron Rd Heath, OH 43056. 38 miles from Downtown Columbus. The Haunted Car Wash is open Thursday thru Saturday from
6pm – 10pm every weekend in October.
Admission is $18 per car, and includes an Ultimate Scare Wash!
Terror Maze
6988 Springfield Jamestown Rd. (937-215-2905) 49 miles from Downtown Columbus. Open 8 p.m. to midnight, Fridays and Saturdays, October 2-31, 2020
Admission is $13 per haunt. $2 off coupon is available on the website.
Nightmare in Nashport
7200 Frazeysburg Rd, Nashport, OH 43830 62 miles from downtown Columbus. Open every Friday and Saturday in October from Dark until Midnight
The Nightmare in Nashport “Trail of Terror” is not your typical Haunted House. Our night of Evil is staged along a one half mile trail through an actual woods, not a zig-zag through a field with scares over lapping or stuffed into an over crowded structure.
Admission is $15.00.
Ohio State Reformatory Escape from Blood Prison
100 Reformatory Rd., Mansfield – Haunted Prison. (419-360-5689) 75 miles from Downtown Columbus. Fridays-Sundays, October 9-November 1. Friday and Saturdays, 7:00 pm to Midnight, Sundays from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Escape From Blood Prison offers the only haunted hellscape in a real prison at The Ohio State Reformatory.
$25 all dates No one younger than 13 admitted (must show proof; birth cert, report card, id, etc)

Boos and Beers: The Haunted History Walking Tour. Short North, Arena District, and Downtown. In this 2.5-hour*, walking tour, you’ll visit locations with their own tale and experience. From a cold winter murder to a hot prison fire to secret tunnels under the city, Columbus is full of haunted tales. This tour gives you a chance to learn and experience these stories over a drink during our several stops. Tickets are $20. *Must be 21 to drink. Under 21 are welcome on the tour. ** Drinks not included. TBA for 2020
Jail of Terror, Old Licking County Jail
46 S. Third St. Newark – Haunted Jail; CANCELLED FOR 2020 (740-345-5245) 40 miles from Downtown Columbus. The front of the jail will also offer mini flashlight tours of the living quarters of this unique building!
Wicked Forest
15111 St. Rt. 664 South, Logan Ohio. (740) 652-5444 52 miles from Downtown Columbus. 1/2 mile trail through haunted woods in Hocking Hills. CLOSED FOR 2020. $15 general admission in 2019. Group Rates: $13 per person (group of 12+), Military & First Responders: $13. Fast pass admission $20. Save $2 per admission when you pay with cash. Ages 13 and up recommended
Halloween Haunt Kings Island
6300 Kings Island Dr., Mason. (513-754-5700) 84 miles from Downtown Columbus. Mazes, rides and shows, not recommended for children younger than 13; CANCELLED FOR 2020 (park opens at 11 a.m. on Saturdays); $33.99 online for Friday or Saturday nights (Haunt only), or $51 at the gate; $39.99 – $50.99 on Saturdays (for all day and night), or $72 at the gate; $34.99 Sundays 11 am – 7 pm or $72 at the gate.
