In effort to do their part in helping to manage the COVID-19 emergency, Comcast is helping customers stay connected to families, resources, school, and more through the Internet with free internet service and faster speeds for low income families.
Comcast announced that they are increasing speeds for the Internet Essentials program, and making the program free to new low-income customers for two months. Millions of low-income Americans will need internet connectivity and high speeds in order to manage school and work demands. Ohio schools and universities are moving to online and/or at home coursework through the month of March (or more), and internet connectivity is vital to the success of students and employees working from home.
The Internet Essentials program is the nation’s largest and most comprehensive broadband adoption program for low-income Americans. In an effort to meet the needs of even more Americans, they’ve made 2 key changes to the program starting on Monday, March 16, for the next two months.
