The Gateway Picture Show
The Gateway Picture Show is held on the 2nd Tuesday from June through September at the Gateway Plaza brought to you by Gateway – University District. The theme for 2019 is “Milestone Anniversaries”. Shows start at dusk, but arrive early for a good spot!
This FREE all-ages event (PG-13 recommended) will be held outside in the back of Gateway plaza (by the parking garage and Pearl Alley). Popcorn is provided by GFC, and you can purchase an adult beverage from The District PourHouse. You may also grab to-go food and non-alcoholic drinks from any of the nearby eateries. Off-the-ground chairs or blankets and cushions are recommended, as the plaza is bricked.

Grove City Fryer Flicks on the Hill
Grove City Fryer Flicks on the Hill is held Every Thursday through July on a large inflatable screen at dusk on the sledding hill at Fryer Park (3899 Orders Road). Pack a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy these classics under the stars. Bring snacks (no glass); refreshments will be available for sale. Wexner Center Plaza at 15th Avenue and High Street shows outdoor movies once a month through the Summer. Bring blankets, chairs, and your favorite snacks, and enjoy beverages from the cash bar. There will also be refreshments from Jeni’s Ice Cream and other vendors for purchase (free scoop for members), and beer from Seventh Son Brewery for purchase. Lights, Cameras, Movies at Polaris Fashion Place
Catch a FREE movie on Fridays in the Polaris Lifestyle Center near The Cheesecake Factory. Watch some of your favorite movies under the stars and don’t forget to bring your family, friends, chairs and blankets! Movies will start around 8:30 p.m.

Uptown Movie Series in Westerville
Head to Uptown Westerville on select Fridays for a free screening of a family-friendly movie on the lawn of City Hall, 21 S. State St. Grab dinner in Uptown Westerville and then head to the courtyard with chairs or blankets to settle in for the show. All movies begin at dusk.

Summer Movie Series in New Albany
New Albany Parks & Recreation are celebration summer with the 2019 Summer Movie Series. Previously held at Wexner Community Park, this year they are bringing the movies to various locations around New Albany each month. In addition to the movie each night, families can enjoy balloon benders, face painters, inflatable obstacle courses, yard games and more.

The Main Event in Bexley
The Main Event in Bexley events are typically held once a month on Fridays and the fun begins at 7:00 p.m. on Capital University’s Main Street Lawn (except 7/19), with the movie following the music and kids activities by Piccadilly, the Bexley Public Library, and Bexley Recreation & Parks.
Each month will feature a theme based upon the movie being shown, with activities for kids and families centered on that month’s theme. See schedule here.

Columbus Commons Movie Night
Columbus Commons Movie Night will be held after Family Funday and Popcorn Pops. Popcorn Pops concerts require a ticket ($10.60) and begin at 5 p.m., but the park will open to the public after the concert around 8:15 p.m. for the free movie under the stars.

- Friday, June 21: Mary Poppins Returns (8:15 pm). Come early for Popcorn Pops with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra beginning at 7 pm. Tickets are required for Popcorn Pops ($8-$10), but the gates will open for the free movie at the conclusion of the concert.

Movies Under the Stars at Green Lawn Abbey
Movies Under the Stars at Green Lawn Abbey. Tickets are $5 at the door. Movie at dark. Skyward Grille will be selling food, or you can bring a picnic. Movie is in the side yard, plenty of free parking. Rain date is the next night (Saturday). Bring your chairs and blankets. All money raised goes to the restoration of Green Lawn Abbey. Movies are typically scheduled once a month.

South Drive-in Theater
The South Drive-in Theater is located on the South Side of Columbus, showing movies on Friday – Sunday in Spring and more frequently during the summer. Admission is $2-$9.50; 4 and under free.
