There’s so much fun planned at The Scioto Mile, starting with opening Day at the fountain on Friday, May 27th, including Free SUP Yoga on the River, music, food and more!
Located in the heart of Downtown Columbus, the Scioto Mile is an integrated system of parks, boulevards, bikeways and pedestrian paths.
Opening of Scioto Mile Fountain
The opening day celebration for the Scioto Mile Fountain is Friday, May 27 from 11:00am – 2:00pm at Bicentennial Park, 233 S Civic Center Drive.
Celebrate the unofficial start of summer and take the first walk through The Scioto Mile Fountain presented by the American Electric Power Foundation. Experience all the fun the fountain has to offer –plus a little extra.
From 11:00am – 2:00pm enjoy games on the grass, music and an extra-festive atmosphere.
Scioto Mile Fountain Hours
The Scioto Mile Fountain is open daily from 11:00am – 6:00pm, May 27th – September 5th, 2022. Fountains will close for severe weather.

FREE Family Fun at the Fountain
Every Wednesday from 12:00pm – 2:00pm, June 15 – August 10, bring the family to the fountain for some free fun. There will be extra activities for kids of all ages during these events, such as entertainment, kid-friendly performances, and more.
Grab lunch from a food cart or order from Milestone 229.
*No event on June 29 due to Red White and Boom or July 20 due to Jazz and Rib Fest set up.

Music on the Mile
Fridays, July 29, August 5, and Saturdays, June 25, July 2-30, August 6 from 6:00pm – 9:00pm
Enjoy street musicians throughout the Summer at Coleman’s Pointe (along the Scioto Mile behind the Supreme Court of Ohio). Listen as you stroll, or sit on the swings or nearby tables, or bring a blanket to relax on the bank of the Scioto.
A food cart will be nearby at Civic Center & Town, or bring your own food to enjoy. Open-air entertainment, the schedule is weather dependent and subject to change. Check www.sciotomile.com for the latest information and which local acts will be performing!
FREE SUP Yoga on the Scioto
Tuesdays – July 5 – August 30, 5:30pm & 6:45pm
Whether you love yoga, or love stand up paddleboarding, or both, this activity with challenge you in all of the best ways! Take your yoga practice to a new level on the water, or take your SUP skills in a new direction with yoga!
Either way, this weekly outing with stand-up paddleboard Yoga and skyline views will make for such a fun outing with friends or a date!
Meet at the Main Street Bridge Boat Launch (near Bicentennial Park). Classes are free, but there’s a $15 no-show fee. Registration is required and opens weekly on Wednesdays at 10am for classes on the following Tuesday. Space is limited and classes will fill up fast.
Each class is one hour and accessible for any skill level, from brand-new beginner to experienced SUPer.
Food Carts on the Riverfront
Hungry? You’ll find food carts along the Riverfront many days of the week through from June 1 – October 1. Grab lunch or dinner and take it to go, or enjoy the views and activities along the Riverfront. There will be a variety of vendors throughout the summer.
