Chadwick Arboretum Spring Plant Sale

Chadwick Arboretum is back with the Spring Plant Sale in 2023! They will be selling over 10,000 plants during the annual Spring Plant Sale fundraiser from Thursday, May 11 – Saturday May 13, 2023.

Choose from over 650 varieties of uncommon plants proven to grow well in Ohio climate and soil, which means your garden will look better than ever.

The plant list should be posted before the event. Credit Cards Only

Alongside a wide variety of perennials and annuals, vegetables and herbs, visitors will find colorful hanging baskets, hypertufa planters, planted and unplanted, and rain garden plants.

Ohio State University student horticulturist organizations will sell vegetables and the Plant Pathology Graduate Students Association will offer native plants for sale.

There will be food and drink for purchase, tool sharpening, local nurseries and businesses, and Ask a Master Gardener Booth.

This is the perfect place to shop for Mother’s Day – considering a membership for a Mother’s Day gift!

Thursday, May 11, 4 – 8 p.m. MEMBERS ONLY (membership can be purchased at the door)
The members-only gala includes plenty of fun activities including a silent auction and hors d’oeuvre by Steven’s Catering. Live entertainment by Coshocton’s own electric and acoustic guitar soloist Matt Shannon will play as you have the first opportunity to buy Chadwick Arboretum plants for 10% off. Membership details.

11:00 a.m.: Live Premium Tree and Shrub Auction

12:00 p.m.: Learning Lab: Guidelines and Care for Planting a Tree

Consider bringing a wagon to help carry your plants. Proceeds from this event benefit the OSU Chadwick Arboretum and OSU student organizations.

Location: Northwest corner of Lane Avenue and Fred Taylor Drive, adjacent to the Nationwide Ohio 4H Center at 2201 Fred Taylor Dr.

Free parking is available in OSU Gray Lots 1 and 2. Park across the street in the Bill Davis Stadium Parking lot and use the crosswalks when walking to the plant sale site.
