If you’re an animal lover, make plans to visit Sunrise Sanctuary for Open Barn Days! You’ll meet the dogs, cats, bunnies, and a plethora of farm animals who have been rescued and now call Sunrise “home”.
Sunrise Sanctuary, Inc. is a non-profit organization that rescues and cares for farmed and companion animals who were abandoned, abused, or neglected. If you have love to give, they have the animals who need it!
Open Barn Days
There are over 170 animals at Sunrise Sanctuary, and Open Barn Days give you the chance to visit with, pet, and get to know these lovable animals! On Open Barn Days, Sunrise Sanctuary is open to the public for self-guided tours through the Sanctuary. Volunteers will be throughout the property to answer questions or for assistance.
Guests are welcome to take photos and selfies with the animals, but do not bring food of any kind for safety reasons. Some animals can be food aggressive, and others have restricted diets. Sunrise Sanctuary does accept produce donations for feeding during their regularly scheduled feeding times. The animals love greens, apples, melons, bananas, pears, pumpkins and winter squash. Please do not bring spoiled or moldy produce.
Open Barn Days are select Saturdays from 1-3 pm, and you may visit anytime during those hours.. Make sure you give yourself time to visit with the animals, as they close promptly at 3 pm. Events are held rain or shine.
