Grove City will light up with the Grove City Christmas Celebration, starting on Friday, December 3. This 2-day family-friendly festival features live entertainment, Santa visits, ice sculpting, reindeer, traditional carols, holiday shopping, a parade, and the official Grove City tree lighting.
Grove City Christmas Tree Lighting and Parade
The celebration kicks off on Friday, December 3 at 7 pm with the Christmas Parade. The Town Center tree lighting with Santa follows immediately after the parade.
Grove City Christmas Mistletoe Market
The Mistletoe Market is going on throughout Grove City Town Center on December 3rd from 5 to 9pm, and December 4th from 9am to 7pm. Reminiscent of the German Kristkindl Market, it features old world charm & warmth, and a unique holiday shopping experience.
Check out the ice sculptor working on Friday, December 3, and then see the final creation on Saturday.
Visit the reindeer (or, horses dressed like reindeer) for rides next to the market on Park Street from 9 am – 7 pm on Saturday.
There will be food trucks on Saturday from 11 am – 6 pm, as well as the eateries in downtown Grove City.
Cram the Cruiser Drive
Each year, the City of Grove City and Grove City Division of Police host the annual Cram the Cruiser holiday gift drive, benefitting youth under the care of Franklin County Children Services (FCCS). Drive through to safely drop off your donated items from 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 5, at Grove City United Methodist Church, 2684 Columbus Street.
FCCS requests donations of gift cards, new books and toys. Donations are also welcome directly to the Franklin County Children Services website. Find details here.
Youth under the care of FCCS often experience abuse, neglect or other difficult home situations, and the past two years have been especially challenging for some. The annual Cram the Cruiser gift drive provides a joyful outlet and assurance to the 6,000-plus children that others care.
