Kick off the holiday season and the spirit of giving in Downtown Columbus with the annual Winterfest at Bicentennial Park on Saturday, December 1, 2018, with holiday activities from 11 am – 4 pm.
Nationally recognized Nashville artist Rayland Baxter headlines the event. The celebration features live music, seasonal beer from local breweries, and Columbus food truck favorites. A portion of food truck and beer sales will be donated to the Mid-Ohio Food Bank.
CRPD will also be on hand selling hand-crafted bowls and a signature soup from Milestone 229 as part of the Empty Bowls initiative which supports the Mid-Ohio Food Bank. Now in its 20th year, Empty Bowls has raised more than $250,000 to fight hunger in our community.
Winterfest replaces the Downtown Illumination celebration, and the Scioto Mile will be lit up with thousands of LED lights starting on November 21. Stick around Downtown Columbus after the event to enjoy the thousands of lights of Bicentennial Park, Scioto Mile, Lazarus Building and Columbus Commons. December 1 is also the Holiday Gallery Hop too, so head to the Short North to enjoy the art and seasonal fun during the Hop!
