From the Worthington website: Due to the Stay-at-Home Advisory and extreme spread of COVID-19 in Franklin County, the Worthington Holiday Open House and Tree Lighting have been cancelled. Although this special event is no longer taking place, it is more important than ever that we support our local businesses during this challenging time.
Head to Worthington for the Holiday Open House and Tree Lighting on Sunday, November 29, 2020 from noon – 5 p.m. Stroll streets and enjoy musical entertainment during this traditional holiday festival.
Worthington Holiday Open House
Stop for food and beverage in one of the many restaurants and pop into shops or browse their sidewalk sales for holiday snacks and merchandise. Enjoy the beautifully decorated storefront windows for the It’s a Wonderful Window Contest
Take in the sights and sounds during carriage rides, and view the Christmas decorations in downtown Worthington. There will be an opportunity for photos with Santa as well.
Worthington Tree Lighting
In order to prevent crowds from gathering, the tree lighting will be held throughout the night at the southeast Village Green. The City Holiday Tree will be lit each half-hour starting at 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. to space out crowds. The tree will be lit for 15 minute increments at 6:00, 6:30, 7:00, 7:30, and 8:00 pm. This will allow families to enjoy the tree lighting and take photos without large crowds.
Mask will be required when you are around others, and please maintain your distance. As always, changes can occur at anytime, so check the links before the date to see if the event has been cancelled or adapted further.
