Annual Oscars Nominations Breakfast at Gateway Film Center
Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 7:30 am.
Go into work or school a little late for this annual nomination party. Meet in the Torpedo Room for the Oscars Nominations Breakfast.
Enjoy a light breakfast and chat with local film critics, GFC members and movie lovers about their picks for this year’s Academy Awards. Breakfast starts at 7:30 am, nominations are announced around 8 am. The event is free; rsvp requested.
AMC Best Picture Showcase

Catch the 2023 Academy Award® nominees at the AMC® Best Picture Showcase. Revisit your favorites or catch contenders you may have missed.
Some of the Oscar-nominated films for as low as $5 per ticket. Select films are part of AMC’s $5 Fan Faves special. Frugal film fans can also take advantage of AMC Theatres’ Discount Tuesdays special to see the films at a bargain price.
Oscar Nominated Shorts at Gateway Film Center
Starting February 17
See the 2023 Oscar Nominated Shorts at GFC. ShortsTV and Magnolia Pictures present the Oscar-Nominated Short Films in all three categories – Animated, Live Action and Documentary.
The nominees are determined by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences from hundreds of qualifying films crafted by phenomenal artists across the globe.

$5 Best Picture Showcase at Marcus Theatres
February 24 – March 12, 2023. Marcus Theatres and Movie Tavern are proud to showcase this year’s Best Picture and Short Film nominees! Head to Crosswoods Cinema (200 Hutchinson Ave.) and experience this season’s best films the way they were meant to be seen.
With the Best Picture passport, a guest can make one $40 purchase and receive an electronic ticket to each of the 10 movies nominated for Best Picture and the anthology films for Best Animated Short and Live Action Short.
Best Picture passport holders can save up to $30 with the purchase of the passport versus buying individual film admissions and will also receive 20% off on all concessions and food (excluding alcohol) throughout the series.
