Winter doesn’t mean the end of farmer’s markets in Columbus – they just bring them inside! These indoor farmer’s markets in Columbus will keep your kitchens full of local goods. While the options are different than the growing season farmer’s markets, you’ll still find plenty of healthy and tasty options, including locally produced fruits and vegetables, eggs, beef, poultry, lamb, baked goods, dairy, jams, salsas, cut flowers, and more.
The Worthington Farmers Market will be inside The Shops at Worthington Place every Saturday from November through April from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. The market is CLOSED the weekend after Thanksgiving. Credit card, SNAP, and Veggie SNAPS accepted at the information booth with exchange for tokens. The New Albany Indoor Farmer’s Market is held the first Saturday of each month at the Heit Center from November until March 2, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. You’ll find seasonal offerings, hand crafted artisan products, produce, eggs, meat, fresh baked goods, and locally made honey, coffee and more. You’ll also enjoy live music and food trucks. The Pickerington Indoor Farmer’s Market is held on Thursdays from 4-7 p.m. at 80 W Church Street At The Loft space above Combustion Brewery & Taproom. It is an over 100 year old building where butter and dairy products were made back in the day. There are nearly 30 vendors, including produce, meat, honey, baked goods, crafts and more. The market continues at The Loft through May, and moves back outdoors from June through September.
The indoor winter market is held most Saturdays from November – February from 9:30am-noon at Granville Elementary School. Fresh produce, local honey, grass-fed beef, eggs and other local offerings are also available on a weekly basis. While the Facebook page and website do not seem to be updated regularly, some of the vendors, like The Gluten & Grain Free Gourmet post updates about market cancellations.
