National Night Out events around Columbus

National Night Out serves to promote safer communities by bringing together neighbors, police, and firefighters, and is celebrated the first Tuesday of August.

Many of the events feature free food, live music, and other fun features. Kids will get to interact with, and watch demonstrations by police officers and firefighters. See more details here.

North YMCA National Night Out

Tuesday, August 4, 2026 from 5 pm- 8 pm at North YMCA, 1640 Sandalwood Place
Bring your family to the North YMCA on Tuesday, August 4th from 5pm-8pm to enjoy free games, activities, and food. Engage with community partners and register ahead of time to receive school supplies. This event is open to the community. Details here.

Bexley National Night Out

Tuesday, August 4, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Commonwealth Park

National Night Out with Upper Arlington

Tuesday, August 4, 2026 from 6 pm – 8 pm at Northam Park

Meet the officers who serve Upper Arlington, check out cruisers and fire trucks, games, and giveaways. Try your hand at archery with the Ohio Division of Wildlife’s archery trailer, enjoy soccer activities with Upper Arlington Parks & Recreation and participate in games, challenges and hands-on experiences.

Westerville National Night Out 

Tuesday, August 4, 2026 from 6 pm – 8 pm at Huber Village Park

 Free sweet treats and food will be available, and Sunny 95 will be on site to host a dance party and facilitate games. Enjoy face painting, balloon art, activities from the Columbus Blue Jackets Street Team and more!

The Salem Civic Association (SCA) National Night out

TBA 2026, from 6-8pm at Chaseland Park (954 Joos Ave. Columbus). Bring your family and leashed pets for games, snacks and more.

Clinton Estates National Night Out

TBA starting at 6pm at Trinity United Church of Christ (1180 Shanley Dr.).  This event will not only be used to promote safety in the neighborhood but hopefully also will recruit new families and residents to become involved with CECA. 

Meet with officers, enjoy face painting for kids, and more. Clinton Estates Civic Association will provide hamburgers and hot dogs. Those attending are asked to bring their own chairs and a side dish and/or dessert to share. 

Clinton Estates is the area between Maize Rd and Karl Rd on the East/West, and Cooke Rd and Morse Rd on the North/South.
