Wintertime is all about comfort food, but you can get out of the house AND enjoy comfort food this January. Head to Hocking Hills for the annual Hocking Hills Comfort Food Cruise on January 12, 13, 19, 20, 26 & 27, 2019, and pick and choose the food you sample at 16 restaurants around the Hills.
Go one weekend, or go every weekend. Buy a ticket book for $18, and get 12 tickets for you to pick and choose the restaurants you want to visit. Each restaurant will be serving a signature savory or sweet comfort food item for which the tickets can be redeemed. Want to try them all? Buy a couple of ticket books. If you can only make it down for one day or one meal, you can also share ticket books. Hocking Hills is close enough to Columbus that you can visit on multiple days. $5 of every ticket book sold will benefit local food pantries. Take a whole day to get there early and enjoy breakfast, lunch, AND dinner – there’s plenty to do in between the meals.
Feeling stuffed or guilty about all of the tasty food? Walk it off. Hocking Hills is FULL of amazing trails and hikes that have a different beauty during the winter, such as Old Man’s Cave, Ash Cave, Rock House and Conkle’s Hollow, Cedar Falls and Cantwell Cliffs.
Begin your cruise at the Hocking Hill Regional Welcome Center to pick up your free Comfort Food Cruise souvenir and purchase your ticket books at 13178 State Route 664 S, Logan.
