Enjoy free family fun at the annual Festival Latino on August 11-12, at Genoa Park near downtown from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. Since 1996 the Festival Latino has been providing Columbus the opportunity to experience traditional and contemporary Latin American culture and is now the largest Latin event in Ohio.
The festival will feature performing and visual arts, educational workshops, kids’ area, and authentic cuisine. There will be great musical performances Saturday and Sunday night, including nationally-known artists, tba.
Take salsa lessons or watch dance performances at the Dance Plaza, or dance the day away listening to performers at the Main Stage. Check out the Marketplace featuring Ohio-based Latin artists, plus the Author’s Showcase, Health and Wellness area, and Community Resources area.
The free children’s area features balloon artists, activities with COSI, creating Mexican flower crafts, Columbus-area mascots, and other crafting projects from noon – 6 pm each day.
Admission is free, but you’ll want some money for the delicious food! Bring blankets and chairs, and stay all day!
