The historic streets of German Village will be lit up with Christmas spirit and holiday magic for Virtual Village Lights on Sunday, December 6, 2020 from 5-9 p.m. The Village is planning a virtual program to enjoy from the safety of your home.
While you won’t be able to enjoy Village Lights the same as in other years, make sure you stop back through the season to stroll and shop. Check out a list of retailers and businesses to visit.

Village Lights Attractions Luminaries will line the streets to lead you from shop to shop for Christmas shopping and other fun experiences along the way. The shops are open late with holiday specials, and you’ll encounter festivities at each corner including carolers and other musical talent. Actors’ Theatre of Columbus bring Santa and Mrs. Claus to read to children at Village Lights! Four different holiday classics will be read throughout the night and a free gift will be given to the first 350 kids 12 and under. Striezelmarkt, Christmas marketplace, acts as the central hub of Village Lights at 588 S. Third St. You’ll enjoy free holiday samples and warm beverages, and holiday tunes. Schmidt’s Sausage truck will be selling food if you get hungry, and Heidelberg gluwein and seasonal beer is available for purchase to keep the adults warm. Drop letters to Santa at the Caretakers Cottage at Schiller Park beginning during Village Lights.
