Snow Trails slopes are open for skiing and snowboarding! Now that it feels like winter, its time to think about skiing and snowboarding! Located in Mansfield, Ohio, Snow Trails is just a quick trip up Route 71 from Columbus – close enough to drive up in the evening or for a one day trip!
Snow Trails Safety Precautions
To ensure a long, safe and fun-filled season, Snow Trails will be following NSAA (National Ski Areas Association), state and county recommendations for its operations. Social distancing must be maintained, and in the event where it cannot be maintained inside the resort, face coverings must be worn. Seating is adjusted in the Lodge, including outdoor seating options and and a new structural tent to increase safe seating capacity.
Pick up a gift card or season pass for a ski lover – or yourself! Season Passes are backed by the “Fun Guarantee” Resort Credit. If your health and safety become a concern, or the season is altered due to mandates, you can request pro-rated resort credit to be applied to the ’21-’22 season. Skiing and Snowboarding
Weeknight lift tickets range from $21-$31 for children and $31-$41 for adults. Weekend lift and peak day lift tickets are $52. Save $10 on lift tickets after 4 pm! Rental equipment is $27 for kids and $37 for adults. Purchase online or at the ticket window.

Vertical Descent Tubing Park
Not so solid on your feet? Go tubing at their Vertical Descent Tubing Park! Prices are $25, with a $10 discount for kids 5 and under. Snow Tubing is offered every Thursday-Sunday & Peak Days. Ticket must be reserved in advance and are available up to 2 weeks ahead of time. Make reservations and see details about hours, glow tubing, and special events at this link.
Snow Trails offers a 20% discount on Lift Tickets and Ski or Snowboard Equipment Rental for students, military, and seniors 65+. Must present valid ID at time of purchase. Not valid with any other discounts or offers. Excludes Tubing. Kids under 5 ski free with a paying adult, and save $10 on equipment.
Children’s Programs
Snow Trails comprehensive Children’s Ski and Snowboard Program is available Fridays, Weekends and Peak Days this season. It’s a great opportunity to introduce kids to the sport of skiing and snowboarding between the age of 4 and 9 years old.
The program combines the fun of discovery, the challenge of trying new things and the excitement of mastering new skills, all in a safe environment. Children are led by skilled and fun-loving instructors in outdoor activities, with short warm-up and snack breaks indoors this season. The program is priced at $119 per session.
This Winter parents can choose between morning and afternoon sessions, based on availability. For the 2020-’21 season reservations will be required and need to be placed online by 6 p.m. the day before. Walk-ins are not accepted. About Snow Trails:
Snow Trails, which was the first commercial ski area in Ohio, is a privately-owned resort, under the same management since inception. The resort features six chairlifts, including a slow-moving Beginner’s Double Chairlift and two ski carpets dedicated to the Beginner’s Area. A third carpet lift is utilized for the Snow Tubing Park with the “Longest Tubing Lanes in Ohio.” The Resort offers 19 total trails and is known for Timberline trail – “Longest Trail in Ohio.” There are three glade areas, plus five Terrain Parks. A 9,000 sq. ft. Rental Center houses user-friendly equipment and offers a self-service system.
Snow Trails typically opens in early December and the season lasts into March. The resort is located off Interstate 71 south of Mansfield on Possum Run Road.
