Snow Trails slopes are open for skiing, snowboarding, and tubing! Now that it feels like winter, its time to play in the snow!
Located in Mansfield, Ohio, Snow Trails is just a quick trip up Route 71 from Columbus – close enough to drive up in the evening or for a one day trip!

Season passes are available for the 2022-23 season, but they usually sell out early! There are multiple options, including everyday season passes, once-a-week season passes, senior passes, and more.
Snow Trails Season Opening
The season opened on December 9, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. for its 62nd Winter Season.
The slopes will remain open for an early season bonus weekend on Saturday, Dec. 10 through Sunday, Dec. 11, from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Select trails, lifts and terrain park features will be available. The projected opening for Vertical Descent Tubing Park is not yet confirmed as additional snowmaking is still needed.
Early Season Bonus Weekend
Friday, December 9, Opening Day, 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Saturday, December 10 and Sunday, December 11 from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Operations are suspended from December 12-December 15, and the resort reopens on Friday, December 16 from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Peak Days Begin: Saturday, December 17 through Monday, January 2, 2023 from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Kick off Party
The annual Kick-Off Party is Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022 at 9 p.m. with The Jimmy Jack Band. Tickets are $10. Advanced Ticket purchase is required and can be booked online.
Improvements made during the 2022/2023 Season
New Lodge
This will be the first full season for the new 3,000 sq. ft. lodge located at the base of Competition Slope, which will feature beautiful slope side views. The lodge includes additional indoor seating and restrooms to the resort, while accommodating carry-in-food and space for racing program activities.
Skiers can also enjoy heated outdoor patio seating and a race timing and scoring room. A new concrete parking lot has also been added.
Chairlift Improvements
The hydraulic tensioner on the Alpine Triple Lift received a new counter weight system to reduce sag on the cable when the lift is fully loaded. The Beginner’s Double Lift received new wire rope to carry the chairs.
Guest Services
Guest Services has been remodeled to provide an improved space that is efficient & warm.
Snowmaking and Grooming
Snow Trails continues to invest in its ability to provide the best ski runs around. A new Pisten Bully Park Pro 400 groomer is arriving in December.
Four (4) new mobile SMI Snow Guns will allow for the flexibility to increase snowmaking capacity wherever it’s needed most throughout the season.
Enhanced Glow Tubing Experience
Glow Tubers will enjoy an enhanced light experience this season with the addition 11 LED Glow Tubing lights, which provide even greater animation timing and control of the brilliant flash colors.
Trail Lighting
Last year 22 LED tower lights were added on the Alpine Lift and in the Beginners Area, the Mt. Mansfield Triple Chairlift for Competition Slope and Mt. Mansfield Slope. For the 2022/23 season, and additional 20 LED lights have been added to slopes for an even better experience.

For the 2022/23 season Advanced Bookings are required online for daily Lift Tickets, except for season pass holders. Walk-Ups are unavailable.

Weeknight lift tickets are $49 for ages 12+. Weekend lift and peak day lift tickets are $59. Save $10 on lift tickets after 4 pm! Rental equipment is $34 for kids and $44 for adults. Purchase online or at the ticket window.

Vertical Descent Tubing Park
Not so solid on your feet? Go tubing at their Vertical Descent Tubing Park! Tubing is $30. Snow Tubing is offered every Thursday-Sunday & Peak Days.

Polar Bear Children’s Programs
Snow Trails comprehensive Children’s Ski and Snowboard Program is available Fridays, Weekends and Peak Days this season, starting December 17.
It’s a great way to introduce kids to the sport of skiing and snowboarding between the age of 4 and 9 years old.
The program combines the fun of discovery, the challenge of trying new things and the excitement of mastering new skills, all in a safe environment. Children are led by skilled and fun-loving instructors in outdoor activities, with short warm-up and snack breaks indoors this season.
The program is $129 per session. Reservations are required online by 6 p.m. the day before. Walk-ins are not accepted. The program includes a lift ticket, ski or snowboard equipment rental, snack and instruction.

About Snow Trails:
Snow Trails, which was the first commercial ski area in Ohio, is a privately-owned resort, under the same management since inception.
The resort features six chairlifts, including a slow-moving Beginner’s Double Chairlift and two ski carpets dedicated to the Beginner’s Area. A third carpet lift is utilized for the Snow Tubing Park with the “Longest Tubing Lanes in Ohio.”
The Resort offers 19 total trails and is known for Timberline trail – “Longest Trail in Ohio.” There are three glade areas, plus five Terrain Parks. A 9,000 sq. ft. Rental Center houses user-friendly equipment and offers a self-service system.
Snow Trails typically opens in early December and the season lasts into March. The resort is located off Interstate 71 south of Mansfield on Possum Run Road.
