Skiing, snowboard, and tubing season is here, and we are lucky enough to have a great place to go that’s less than 1 hour from Columbus! Mad River Mountain is located just Northwest of Columbus, and features 144 skiable acres, 4 Terrain Parks, and Avalanche Park, Ohio’s Largest Tubing Park with ten 1000 foot lanes.
Whether you go all day, or want to go for just a couple of hours, it’s one of the most affordable places to ski, snowboard, and tube, due to its proximity to Columbus (no need for a hotel!). It’s a great place for a beginner to learn, but also good for practice expert locals who can’t get away regularly to larger ski resorts. Want to hit the slopes on a Wednesday evening after work? It’s close enough that you won’t have to miss any work the next day.
Mad River Mountain is home to the most freestyle terrain parks in Ohio. The four terrain parks, Momentum (all abilities), the Louie Vito Learning Park, Capital Park, and Kicker Lane, progress in size and offer the perfect place to grow your skills.
Hours for Holiday season 2020/2021 are 9 am – 9 pm. Open until 10 pm on January 2. See website or Facebook page for updates.
