Kick off the holiday season at the annual New Albany Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration and Drone Show on Sunday, November 23, 2025 in Market Square.

The festivities begin at 3:00 PM with Santa’s grand arrival. Families can enjoy live entertainment throughout the afternoon, meet real reindeer, and watch an ice sculptor at work. Kids will love the balloon artists, face painters, glitter tattoos, caricature artists, and fun photo stations.
Hop on a cozy horse-drawn carriage ride before dusk and grab a picture with Santa. Drop your letter to Santa in the big red mailbox at the library for express delivery to the North Pole!
There will be photo opportunities with roaming characters like the Grinch, Elsa, and her friends from the Frozen series. Brutus Buckeye and the OSU Cheer Team are bringing Buckeye spirit to the heart of the holiday fun.
Beverages and food available for purchase from Market Square restaurants and food trucks.
At 5:30 PM, Mayor Spalding will lead the countdown to light the holiday tree, followed by a holiday-themed drone light show at 5:40 PM that’s sure to delight all ages.
