Join the Bexley Area Chamber of Commerce for the the Holiday Hop to celebrate the Christmas season and support local businesses. Enjoy the sights, sounds, and tastes of the holidays as they shop local, dine at Bexley restaurants, and revel in the season.
Bexley Holiday Hop
Head to the district on Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 12 – 4 pm for this festive, family-friendly event.
Hop on the Holiday Hop Express and enjoy shopping and special promotions and events through the district. Meander along Main Street and North Cassady to enjoy free activities, holiday craft-making, and discounts at participating businesses. The BEAT bus will transport visitors from Main St. to the Cassady Corridor. Dos Hermanos and Ninja Bowl food trucks will be on-site for dining.
This year’s event will be capped off with the City’s tree lighting at Drexel Circle.
The annual Scavenger Hunt is back, and they are holding a Virtual Hunt again as well! The Scavenger Hunt Includes Prizes From: Avant Garden, Bexley DEI, Giuseppe’s, Chambers Music Studio, First Corner Bubble Tea, Gramercy Books, Kittie’s Cakes, Pet People, Terry Janis Collection, Theresa Bush Agency, Ohio State Bank, Urban Emporium, Zen Cha, & more!
For the in-person scavenger hunt, find the hidden ornament at any participating business to receive a stamp in your Holiday Hop Passport. Collect 12 or more Passport Stamps and return your Passport to Johnson’s Real Ice Cream to be eligible to win a raffle prizes! Winners will be notified at the end of the day. Need not be present to win.
For the virtual scavenger hunt, complete this online survey by researching answers about local businesses. Submit survey by December 4 to be eligible. Winners will be contacted by December 6.
Christmas Tree Lighting at Drexel Circle
After the Holiday Hop on December 5, head to Drexel Circle at the corner of Drexel Avenue and Broad Street for the 2021 Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony!
The event will feature hot chocolate and treats, music, and a visit from Santa Claus!
The ceremony starts at 4 pm with students from Jeffrey Mansion Preschool singing holiday songs, followed by performances by the Bexley Middle School Concert Choir and the Bexley High School Vocal Ensemble. Mayor Kessler will light the tree, and then Santa Claus will arrive! Santa is fully vaccinated and able to greet children in person this year!
Bexley Letters to Santa
Drop off your letters to Santa at the North Pole Express mailbox in front of Jeffrey Mansion (165 N Parkview Ave). The mailbox is only available through December 6 to allow Santa and his elves to write back. Please remember to include a return address in order to receive a response.
