National Night Out events around Columbus

National Night Out serves to promote safer communities by bringing together neighbors, police, and firefighters, and is celebrated the first Tuesday of August.

Many of the events feature free food, live music, and other fun features. Kids will get to interact with, and watch demonstrations by police officers and firefighters. See more details here.

Bexley National Night Out

Tuesday, August 5, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Commonwealth Park
National Night Out is a free community event hosted by the Bexley Police Department. This fantastic event will include free food, fun activities for the whole family, and best of all, the chance to spend time getting to know Bexley’s amazing police officers.  Details here.

Gahanna National Night Out

Activities will include displays of Gahanna Division of Police SWAT, patrol vehicles and equipment. Event also features Inflatable Axe Throwing and Obstacle Course, Dunk Tank with familiar faces (Chief Spence, Mayor Jadwin, Officer Blamer and Council Vice President Weaver), Free food, giveaways & so much more. Tuesday, August 5, 2025 from 5 pm – 8 pm at McNamara Park (7049 Big Walnut Road)

The event features free food, music, games, therapy K-9’s, a bounce house, touch-a-truck experience and officer meet and greet. An epic water balloon fight between cops and kids takes place at the end of the event. See details here.

Clinton Estates National Night Out

Tuesday, August 5, 2025 starting at 6pm at Trinity United Church of Christ (1180 Shanley Dr.).  This event will not only be used to promote safety in the neighborhood but hopefully also will recruit new families and residents to become involved with CECA. 

Meet with officers, enjoy face painting for kids, and more. Clinton Estates Civic Association will provide hamburgers and hot dogs. Those attending are asked to bring their own chairs and a side dish and/or dessert to share. 

Clinton Estates is the area between Maize Rd and Karl Rd on the East/West, and Cooke Rd and Morse Rd on the North/South. 

Grove City 

Tuesday, August 5, 2025 from 6 pm – 8 pm in Town Center Park

Come enjoy an evening with our officers, firefighters, and first responders, plus games, kids’ activities, emergency vehicles, community resources, and more. Details.
