The Columbus Metropolitan Main Branch Library is a family-favorite holiday destination with the beloved Huntington Holiday Train. Make it a stop on your holiday lights viewing, or come for the Holiday Open House.
Huntington Holiday Train at the Main Library
November 21 through January 8, 2023 during regular library hours. The Huntington Holiday Train is a fixture of the downtown holiday scene has delighted people of all ages since 1992 with its trains, tracks, tunnels, bridges and replicas of historic German homes and castles.
The miniature buildings are modeled after actual churches, homes and commercial buildings in and around the Bavarian towns of Bernkastel and Rottenberg, Germany, known for their Gothic and Renaissance-era architecture.
The exhibit is assembled in a different way each year, so there’s always something new to see!
Free one-hour parking in the library garage.
Holiday Open House at Columbus Metropolitan Library
The Main Library celebrates the holiday season with a Holiday Open House on Wednesday, November 30 from 6-8 p.m.
Enjoy the official launch of the Huntington Holiday Train with refreshments and fun activities for the whole family.
Santa will be there, along with live reindeer and musical guests to ring in the holiday season.
