Dublin’s annual Halloween Spooktacular brings the family-friendly Spirit of Halloween on Thursday, October 24, 2019, from 3-8 pm. This free family-friendly event takes place inside and outside at the Dublin Community Recreation Center.
Inside the Rec Center, there are musical performances, crafts, Haunted Theatre, Carroll Baker’s magic shows, petting zoo from Honey Hill Farms in Kentucky with 20 animals, meet and greet with Police and Firefighters, and more. Check out the STEM stop inside the Dublin Community Recreation Center.
Creep along the Haunted Trail, and explore the eerie exhibits featuring the Turtle Lady and the Bug Man, and more. Squier Photography is there to take portraits from 3-8 p.m. (fee for photos)
Outside on the event lawn, families can enjoy the haunted trail, trunk-or-treat trail (see below), hay maze, hay rides, pumpkin carving demos, and more. The event is free, with the exception of food and photos.
Trunk or Ticket Trail Guidelines
Dublin residents and Dublin School District residents may pick up their complimentary Trunk or Treat Trail timed-tickets starting Saturday, October 19 at 8 a.m. at the Dublin Community Recreation Center. Proof of residency is required (driver’s license or utility bill) with a limit of five tickets per household. Tickets will continue to be distributed at the Recreation Center during normal operating hours up until 2:30 p.m. on October 24 or while supplies last. If any tickets remain after 2:30 p.m. on the day of the event, they will be distributed to the general public at the Coffman Park Information Tent (next to Trunk or Treat Trail) on a first come, first serve basis.
Tickets are only needed for children participating in the Trunk or Treat Trail activity (parents/guardians do not need tickets). Tickets are available in 15-minute increments, with the first time slot starting at 3 p.m. Guests should only enter the Trunk or Treat Trail line during their 15-minute slot. Please note, tickets will not be replaced if lost.
