Dublin’s annual Halloween Spooktacular brings the family-friendly Spirit of Halloween on Thursday, October 18, from 3-8 pm. This free family-friendly event will take place inside and outside at the Dublin Community Recreation Center.
Inside the Rec Center, there will be musical performances, crafts, Haunted Theatre, Turtle Lady and Bugman, COSI Science Spot meet and greet with Police and Firefighters, and more. Blast off with the Shazzbots. An “out of this world,” intergalactic rock n’ roll band for kids located inside of the DCRC. Also new in 2018 is Character Camp, located inside of the Teen Lounge. Stop by for a meet and greet or a quick photo with your favorite princess or superhero.
Don’t miss spine-chilling shows like Boo Boogie in the Haunted Theater, or Hip Hop Halloween live on the Hocus Pocus Patio. Goblins and ghouls can partake in candy corn crafts, experience supernatural Science Spots sponsored by Cosi, and craft one-of-a-kind masterpieces in Cardboard Creations.
Outside on the event lawn, families will enjoy the haunted trail, trunk-or-treat trail, hay maze, hay rides, pumpkin carving demos, and more. The event is free, with the exception of food and photos.
Dublin residents and Dublin school district residents may pick-up Trunk or Treat Trail tickets starting October 13 at 8 a.m. at the Dublin Community Recreation Center. Proof of residency is required with a limit of five per household.
