UnderCurrent is a new event series with Downtown Columbus, Inc. set to take place directly under Current, the sky-high sculpture by artist Janet Echelman.
Current is part of the permanent collection of the Columbus Museum of Art.

BAM UnderCurrent (Bar, Art, Music) with CMA
Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 5 pm – 9 pm
Columbus Museum of Art’s signature BAM series kicks off Undercurrent at Gay & High! Enjoy a live DJ, dance party, creative experiences, interactive photobooth, live painting, food trucks, yard games, a cash bar and more.
In the event of inclement weather, BAM UnderCurrent will take place the day after on Friday, May 16.
More UnderCurrent programming is yet to be announced for the summer.

Celebrate the second annual Natural Wine Festival — this year hosted under Current!
Enjoy dozens of amazing Natural Wines artfully crafted by some of the premier natural winemakers from around the country, along with live-fire cooking from James Beard nominated chefs Avishar Barua of Agni and BJ Lieberman of Chapman’s and Hiraeth!
Presented in partnership with local favorites including The Bottle Shop, Law Bird, Coast Wine House, Parable, Agni, Fyr Short North, Stories on High, Chapman’s Eat Market, Hiraeth and Accent Wine.
All guests must be 21+ and present valid ID at the time of the event.

Yuletide on Gay
December 7, 2024 from 3 – 8 pm
This one-day-only free street festival transforms Gay & High to a pedestrian-only winter wonderland experience, complete with an iceless ice rink with complimentary skate rentals, live ice sculpture carving, live DJ entertainment, DORA beverages, and food trucks.
