Germania Singing & Sports Society is one of Columbus’ oldest cultural organizations. Founded in 1866, Germania is celebrating its 160th Anniversary in 2026 and 100 years in the Brewery District community.

While Germania is known for the oldest and original Germania Oktoberfest, they also host other events throughout the year that are open to the public.

2026 FIFA World Cup Watch Parties
June 6 through July 19, 2026
Germania will be showing USA and Germany World Cup matches throughout the tournament, along with select marquee matches.

Sommerfest Red, White & Brats
July 3, 2026 from 5:30 pm – 11 pm
A family-friendly Independence Day celebration featuring food, music, and community. It’s a ten minute walk to the riverfront to watch the fireworks from Bicentennial Park. Return to Germania afterward for snacks and beverages while the traffic clears out!
Admission for non-members is just $5.00 per person age 16 and up, and free for Germania members.
Duvel 1K
July 25, 2026 from 4 pm – midnight
A unique Belgian-themed fun run and festival that has grown into the largest Duvel events in the World. Various ticket options available, starting at $10.
Germania Oktoberfest Columbus
Oktoberfest is always a fall favorite for those who love German food and beer. The Brewery District is home to the oldest and original Germania Oktoberfest at Germania Singing and Sports Club Society in Columbus.
While Germania is a membership club, the Germania Oktoberfest is open to the public on September 18-20, 2026.
This three day fest will feature traditional German Oktoberfest foods and drink, music from a variety of bands, dancing, stein holding contests, kids activities on Saturday, and tons of fun.

There will be dancing (lessons too), Masskrugstemmen (stein holding) and activities for the kids provided by the German Language School.

Tours of Germania Haus and the history behind the club will be available Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
Oktoberfest is open to the public. Admission is free for members, and $5 for non-members age 16+. The non-member fee includes a two week membership to Germania.

Sunday, September 20 from noon to 8 pm
Parking will be available at the Brewery District Laz garage on West Blenkner St.
