Blue Star Museums, a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, is offering free museum admission to more than 2,000 museums across America for the nation’s active duty service members, including National Guard and Reserve, and their families.
The program runs from Saturday, May 18, 2019, Armed Forces Day, and end on Monday, September 2, 2019, Labor Day. If you’re vacationing, it might be helpful to run a quick search before creating an itinerary. To search for participating museums, click here.
The free admission program is available for those currently serving in the United States Military – Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard as well as Active Duty, Reservists, National Guardsman, U.S. Public Health Commissioned Corps, NOAA Commissioned Corps and up to 5 family members.
Qualified members must show a military ID. The active duty member does not have to be present to use the program as long as a dependent family member has a qualified ID. See details here.
