Granville’s Timbuk Farms is bringing florals and family fun to Licking County in June with their first-ever Lavender Fest!

From June 14–15 and June 21–22, 2025, Lavender Fest invites guests to stroll down “Lavender Lane,” amongst the raised lavender beds. Take pics and enjoy the fragrant scent in the air (one of my favorites)!
The lavender plants are in raised beds, which means less bending and better photo ops! Kids will love the Fun Farm with rides, games, and a petting zoo.
Weekend visits include live music and food trucks and are busier. Weekday visits still include Kids’ area and lavender access, and may be the best time for photos without crowds.
Lavender sale!
While you can’t cut your own lavender at the fields, you can purchase lavender plants. Potted lavender is for sale (2‑gallon for about $16, or 5 plants for $75).

Timbuk Farms also hosts the super popular Tulip Festival each year, and has an amazing Christmas Tree Farm. I know people who an hour to get their trees from Timbuk, as they typically offer taller trees than farms closer to Columbus.
While you’re in the area, consider a drive through Downtown Granville – a cute Hallmark-eques downtown and home of Denison University, with great places to eat, shop, and wander. You’ll also want to make a stop at Infirmary Mound Park for the Fairy Trail and Nature Playground with ziplines and more fun. It’s one of our favorite summertime stops!
Another great stop with kids is the huge Wildwood Park Playground (785 West Broadway), a huge wooden playground with a separate section for the little tots. Note: there isn’t shade, so be prepared if you’re visiting on a hot, sunny day.
Looking to hike? Try the Denison Bio Reserve or Spring Valley Preserve.
