Go adventuring with Get Out Adventures! If you love being outside and being active, this organization will not only offer so much fun for you, but it’s all in support of such a good cause.
Get Out Adventures is a social enterprise with 100% of net revenue going to support Adaptive Sports Connection, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing for veterans, children, and adults with disabilities.
Located in the Powell/Shawnee Hills area, they offer kayaking, paddle boarding, and more in the Powell/Shawnee Hills area on the Twin Lakes and Scioto River.
Adventure is coming up with Get Out Adventures! There are so many fun outings planned on the water this summer!
Renting Kayaks and Paddle boards In-season
Offers recreational kayaks (sit-in, sit-on-top, and tandem kayaks) and paddle boards for rental, or $15 drop-in fee with your own watercraft. Rental is $30 per person for 2 hours, and $20 for kids under 12 if paddling. Paddles and life jackets are provided.
Also offering group outings and adventures, such as Yoga/Mindfulness Paddles, Twilight and Full Moon Paddles, and even Birthday Parties! The paddling season starts in June! You can sign up now!

Veterans paddle FREE!
Kayak rentals are free for veterans in an effort to improve the health and well-being of our nation’s heroes. This is just one example of how the organization supports veterans.

Friday Twilight Paddles
End the week watching the sunset on the water with friends from 7-9 pm. Guests will be provided glow sticks before setting sail.
Twilight Paddles Package: $45.00 / person
Included: 2 hours of kayaking, Kayak, life vest and paddles, Glow sticks, S’mores and campfire (8:30 – 9:00 pm), Popcorn machine.
Saturday Kayak under the Stars
2023 Dates: June 10, June 17, June 24, July 8, and July 15
The stars will be your light and the night critters will be the soundtrack of your nighttime paddle from 9 pm – 11 pm.

Full Moon Paddles
Dates: June 3 and July 1, 2023 from 9 pm – 11 pm

Morning Mindfulness Paddle and Yoga
Date: Sunday, July 30th from 10 am – 1:30 pm
Grab a coffee and your yoga mat, and enjoy a relaxing hour of yoga with a professional instructor, followed by 2 hours of kayaking!
Morning Mindfulness Paddle Package: $50.00 / person. Included: 1 hour of yoga with a professional instructor (10:00 – 11:00 am), 2 hours of kayaking (11:30 am – 1:30 pm), Kayak / Paddleboard, life vest and paddles

Bring your furry friends and get ready for a dog-gone good time. Enjoy the company of other dog-loving families while you learn lots of tips and tricks for kayaking with your pup. Dog PFDs are highly recommended, but not required.
There will be special treats, swag, and a food truck so plan to spend the afternoon there.
Have a kayaking birthday party!

Paddle under the Harvest Moon

Join us for a beautiful evening paddle during the Harvest Moon of 2022 on Saturday, September 10th, from 9-11 PM.
Unlike other full moons, this Harvest Moon rises at nearly the same time—around sunset—for several evenings in a row, giving farmers several extra evenings of moonlight and allowing them to finish their harvests before the frosts of fall arrive.
For this unique glow party on the water, you will have the opportunity to decorate your kayak with glow sticks and enjoy yummy s’mores by the campfire afterward.

The Haunted Woods at Shawnee Hills

This is no ordinary walk in the woods! Try to survive the horrors that lurk in the woods of Shawnee Hills on our nearly 1 mile-long spooky, scary, trail, if you dare….
The Haunted Woods of Shawnee Hills opens every Friday and Saturday from October 14-October 29. Details and registration here.
Everyone is welcome! The Haunted Woods offers a “no scare sensory-friendly hour” on Saturdays from 6-7 pm. The Haunted Woods takes place on grassy trails through the woods and is open to guests of all abilities.
