Help out the Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resource Center Food Pantry and those they serve by joining in for Cranksgiving Columbus this holiday season.
What is Cranksgiving?
It’s a food drive without the drive! Cranksgiving combines cycling and charity into a fun event where participants ride their bikes to purchase items that are donated to a local food pantry.
While the ride is usually an organized event, Cranksgiving will look a bit different again this year. There will be no defined date, and no after party. Purchase any items from the CRC’s Holiday Brochure and delivery during regular drop-off times.
Grab your bike, plus a backpack, basket, bike trailer, or other method in which you plan to carry the donations, and get rolling to help those in need this holiday season!
When you drop-off your donations, take a selfie showing that you delivered by bike, and earn some swag from Cranksgiving Columbus. Find details on the Facebook page.
All items purchased by participants will be donated to the Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resources Center. Riders can drop off donations Monday-Friday from 9 am- 2 pm at 3222 N. High St. You can drop off food-only donations to the Food Panty at 14 W. Lakeview Ave., Columbus, from Monday – Friday, 12pm – 4pm.
Find more event details on the Columbus Cranksgiving Facebook page.
Cranksgiving aims to promote cycling as a mode of transit and make sure cyclists are well thought of in the community. Please be courteous when riding and follow the rules of the road. Questions? Please send an email to CranksgivingColumbus@gmail.com.
