There is still time to grab some grab stocking stuffers! Many of these things are available via Amazon or at local stores!
Christmas stockings have always been one of my favorite things about Christmas Day.
Stocking Memories
Growing up, we were allowed to get up as early as we wanted, but we couldn’t wake my parents until a reasonable time. Before they woke up, we were allowed to open our stockings. They were big stockings full of stuff to keep us happy until they woke up.
We always had a piece of fruit in our stocking, a little candy, mini boxes of sweetened cereal, some necessities (hair stuff, socks, etc.), and lots of fun little gifts that coincided with our ages.
Some of the gifts were wrapped, some were not. I suspect that depended on how early in the season “Santa” picked the gifts, or how late he was up wrapping gifts the night before.
It was exciting to get to open little gifts from the stockings before we were allowed to open the gifts under the tree – they were like little bonus gifts.
