Celebrate National Nurse Appreciation Week, May 6 through May 12 – which is the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing.
Nurses are the backbone of any medical facility, so they certainly deserve some goodies for their hard work. They deal with people while they are at their worst – sick, injured, worried, or terrified.
They are the ones who are really taking care of you while the doctors get all of the credit (to be fair, doctors do deserve plenty).
But nurses are the ones who you’ll spend the most time with…who will be near your side…who will fuss over your comfort. Meanwhile, they rarely get their full breaks and lunch hours, often work 12 hour shifts (or more!), and they certainly don’t have time to sit around.
We’ve gathered a few Nurse Appreciation deals for nurses to enjoy after their long shifts. Grab some food or a treat, and put your feet up for a minute and remember that we DO appreciate you!
