The New Albany Symphony Orchestra brings live music to the community through a variety of concerts and events each season. In addition to free outdoor concerts, ticketed events, and inclusive events, they have continued to make symphony music safe and accessible to kids and adults.
Rose Run Fest Summer in Vienna
Monday, June 13 – Saturday, June 18, 2022
The 1st Annual Rose Run Fest celebrates Vienna, Austria, the capital of classical music and the heartbeat of art and culture in Europe. “Summer in Vienna” will feature music, art, cooking, dancing, hot air balloon rides, and wellness activities in and around Rose Run Park beginning Monday, June 13 and concluding Saturday, June 18 with a concert by New Albany Symphony at the Hinson Amphitheater.

Known as the capital of classical music, Vienna is the heartbeat of art and culture in Europe. Bask in the beauty of the Blue Danube Waltz, selections from The Sound of Music, and the popular Champagne Polka, as we transport you to this beautiful city.

Maestro Biava brings his renowned Colombian heritage to the stage with sultry samba, Colombian cumbia, and the beautiful paso doble to celebrate Hispanic Heritage month. Help us kick off NASO’s 15th season fiesta style outside at the Hinson Amphitheater. Lawn seating is $24-26 and general admission. Please bring your own blanket or chair.

Don’t miss this performance by the New Albany Symphony and the winners of our student concerto competition at McCoy Center for the Arts
Sensory-Friendly Series
Saturday at the Symphony Sensory Friendly concerts are designed for those on the autism spectrum, our friends in the dementia/Alzheimer’s community, or for those audience members needing a more relaxed concert experience. Performances are never longer than an hour and include pre-concert lobby activities when possible.
During these concerts, audience members can move around, talk and BYO reinforcements and motivational systems. House lights will be turned on but dimmed, and “chill-out” zones, will be available in the lobby for those needing a break.

Student Concerto Competition
January 21, 2023
Graves Piano Recital Hall, 5298 Karl Road in Columbus.
The competition is open to all Ohio students. Entrants are divided into categories by age at the time of audition: Junior Division, high school students and younger; and Senior Division, full-time undergraduate students age 24 and younger. Division winners will receive a $200 cash prize and will perform with the New Albany Symphony Orchestra at the Jeanne B. McCoy Community Center for the Arts.
Applications are $40 and must be submitted online by January 10, 2022. Details and application here.

Natural Trail Concerts for Kids and Families
Kids will enjoy live music and play during Natural Trail Concerts at Rose Run Park. Enjoy this musical playtime in the park on the 1st and 4th Fridays of each month this summer. Concerts are FREE thanks to support from PNC Arts Alive.
The Natural Trail Play Area is located in the western portion of Rose Run Park close to the intersection of E. Dublin-Granville Rd. and Market St. Parking is available on the west side of the New Albany Library.

Second Sundays at the Library Garden
Perfect date night! Bring a chair/blanket and food and non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy chamber music under the starts with the New Albany Symphony. Wine by the glass will be for sale. The Marx Library Garden is directly behind the New Albany Library (Marx Library Garden, 200 Market St. New Albany)

Scenic Overlook Concerts
On the 3rd Thursday of each month this summer, grab dinner from the Farmer’s Market food trucks to enjoy the concert with members of the New Albany Symphony at the Scenic Overlook at the east end of Rose Run park.
