Short North Holiday Hop
On Saturday December 4, 2021, starting at 1 pm, celebrate the art + soul of the holiday season during the biggest Gallery Hop of the year at Holiday Hop! Visit your favorite Short North Arts District stores and galleries, enjoy special holiday street performances, and shop from local artisans.
This year, galleries will feature specially-curated salon style and solo exhibitions centered around the art of gifting. In addition, shoppers who complete the Holiday Trail by making five purchases at participating businesses will receive $10 in District Dollars to use at any participating Short North business.
While you’re there, grab a drink or a bite to eat at your favorite place, or try one of the many new ones!

Buy local with the Short North Arts District Holiday Trail through December 31 to support small business!
Shop at retailers, dine at restaurants, or collect art from galleries, and earn stamps.
- Pick up a Holiday Trail card from a participating business or download and print your card here.
- Make a purchase at a participating business between now and Dec. 31 to receive a Holiday Trail Stamp.
- Collect 5 stamps to complete your card.
- Email a picture of your completed Holiday Trail card, with your name and date filled in, to Info@ShortNorth.org to redeem your free $10 District Dollars e-gift card.
The Short North Alliance will email your $10 District Dollars e-gift card within 2 business days of receiving your completed card. Bonus $10 in District Dollars must be used at participating businesses by January 31, 2022 or they will be forfeited.

Short North Arts District Holiday Hop Activities
Alexander’s Jewelers: Holiday Designer Sales Event during the Dec. 4 Holiday Hop featuring a Konstantino Trunk Show (the first in Ohio in over four years), a Ball Watch Trunk Show with Scott Kaufman from Ball Watch USA and Fausto from Misani Jewelry will be here from Milan to show the hottest pieces from this renowned design company.
Cameron Mitchell Restaurants: Receive a $25 bonus card reward for every $100 in gift cards purchased, November 15 through December 30. Gift cards are available at any location or online at ShopCameronMitchell.com.
Danceville U.S.A.: During Holiday Hop, take a tour of Danceville, U.S.A.’s new home, located inside the newly renovated Sanctuary on Neil, just one block from Goodale Park! December Holiday Hop hours will be from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
First Commonwealth Bank: View work by local stained glass artist, Kara Cullenen-O’Dea, peruse a slew of scarves for sale, and grab a candy cane. Kara has worked in stained glass for 15 years, focusing on bringing stained glass out of church windows and into home décor. She loves to use color, texture, and mixed materials to bring whimsy to an oftentimes serious medium. She will be displaying her ornaments and glass succulents for the month of December. December Holiday Hop hours will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Global Gifts: Verified Fair Trade goods from over 40 different countries, including right here at home. Stop by Global Gifts during Holiday Hop to fill out your Holiday Trail map and to shop for unique handmade gifts for everyone on your list! December Holiday Hop hours will be from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Industrious: Free gift wrapping station to all Short North shoppers during the Dec. 4 Holiday Hop. Drop your items off in The Joseph lobby at 629 N. High St., then stop into any of the Short North’s fabulous restaurants for a quick bite while you wait. All who stop by will be entered to win a $50 Short North Arts District gift card. December Holiday Hop hours will be from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Jolie Occasions: Annual Holly Jolie Christmas party! Enjoy a hot chocolate bar, treats from The Cheesecake Girl, special discounts, surprise giveaways and more from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
On Paper: Write the perfect letter to Santa at your local North Pole Post Office, conveniently located at 743 N. High St. – better known as On Paper! Impress Saint Nick by crafting a standout letter at our stationery shop, starting Dec. 4. Letters postmarked by Dec. 18 will receive a jolly response.

Brandt-Roberts Galleries will continue the exhibition “There’s No Place Like Home,” featuring BRG artists celebrating the state of Ohio. The gallery will also feature new seasonal works by its stable of artists for Holiday Hop.

Emergent Art + Craft
Emergent Art + Craft is proud to partner with Phoenix Rising Printmaking Cooperative for a salon style show featuring several core and associate members of the group! The exhibition, titled “Phoenix Rising Printmaking Cooperative 2021,” features work from a selection of Phoenix Rising members, including Karen Albanese Campbell, Judith Steele, Dana Grubbe, Eliana Calle-Saari, Christine D’Epiro Abbott, Alana Hizer, Kit Vasey and Susanna Harris. A variety of printed media are available from silkscreen, to carved block prints, to collagraph.

Join Sherrie Gallerie for its December Holiday Hop Artist Extravaganza! Thirty gallery artists will be displaying new work for the holidays. The entire gallery will be devoted to mini exhibitions by each artist, including special jewelry exhibitions by Sharon Meyer and Marilyn Parker.
Studios on High Gallery
“The Art of Gifting” is an annual holiday exhibition featuring smaller works by Studio on High Gallery member artists. These smaller pieces are ideal for holiday gifting and invite patrons to sample a broad range of diverse work from jewelry and oils to wildlife sculpture and mixed media collage. Member artists are invited to create in their juried medium or stretch to explore other avenues, extending their body of work.

Holiday Bazaar and Deck the District Tree Lighting
TBA for 2021 the Sunday Bazaar is back for the holiday season to help you celebrate Small Business Weekend and start your gift shopping! At the Holiday Bazaar, you can shop, eat, and explore pop-ups while enjoying holiday performers all along High Street, then end the day at the annual Deck the District Tree Lighting from 5:00pm to 6:00pm.
