Columbus is going all-in on spooky season this year with the launch of “Get Goosebumps in Columbus“, a citywide Halloween celebration honoring hometown horror legend R.L. Stine.

2025 Goosebumps
The fun ties into the Aug. 5 release of Stine’s newest book, Goosebumps House of Shivers #5: The Last Sleepover, and the 10th anniversary of the Goosebumps movie. Visitors and locals can expect Halloween-themed events, food, and attractions all October long.
Highlights include:
- R.L. Stine Returns: On Thursday, Oct. 23, Stine will host a free author talk and book signing at the Columbus Metropolitan Library’s Main Library. Tickets are required and available starting Aug. 28. That night, landmarks across Columbus will glow neon green in his honor.

- Free Outdoor Movie: A screening of Goosebumps kicks things off Oct. 2 at Columbus Commons with giveaways, Crew soccer activations, and a chance to see the team’s UV-activated “Goosebumps Kit.”
