Once the gifts are open and toys have played with after Christmas, you’re going to start to hear “I’m bored”. Get the kids out of the house and celebrate the holiday season with Christmas with the Critters at the Ohio Wildlife Center on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 1-4 p.m. Kids will love meeting the wild animal ambassadors, doing fun winter crafts, making bird feeders, and celebrating nature as a family.
Meet snakes, turtles, screech owls, and take a walk down the trail to check out the coyotes, foxes, and raccoons. Wear winter clothes to protect you from the weather, including sturdy shoes.
Admission is $5 per person, or free with a donation from the Wish List, some of which you may already have at home. Children 5 and under are free.
If you’re looking for something for animal-loving kids to do during Christmas break on 12/27 and 12/28, there are a few one-day Wildlife camps from 9am – 12 pm or 3pm (with after-care available until 5 pm). These are a great option for working parents, or for kid-free time to get things ready for the holidays while the kids learn and have fun at camp.
