BalletMet Discounted Ticket options
In addition to other discount ticket programs below, BalletMet has launched an expanded Rush Ticket Program and the new Pay What You Want program to make performances more accessible.
Senior Dress Rehearsals
Seniors ages 55+ can purchase tickets to special senior dress rehearsal performances.
Rush Ticket Program
The Rush Ticket Program now includes teachers as well as students, and those with a valid school ID can purchase $15 tickets to any show.
Pay What You Want performances
The Pay What You Want nights allow attendees to purchase discounted tickets to select performances on a first-come, first-serve basis. The price attendees choose to pay will support BalletMet productions, education, and scholarships.

Seats are available on a first come, first served basis. Tickets must be purchased at the theatre box office on the day you are attending – the box office opens 2 hours prior to show time.
Purchase both Rush and Pay What You Want tickets at the theatre box office two hours prior to the performance.
“Ticket prices shouldn’t stand in the way of experiencing art,” said Sue Porter, BalletMet’s executive director. “We want ballet to be accessible to anyone who wants to see it, and we hope the Pay What You Want performances will allow people to join us for any and every show this season.”
Columbus Metropolitan Library Culture Pass
A limited number of Culture Passes are available at all CML library branches and are good for all BalletMet performances.
Passes are good for two free tickets to the performance of your choice and may be redeemed only at the theatre box office two hours prior to the show time on the day you are attending.

ABOUT BALLETMET
Renowned for its versatility and innovative repertory, BalletMet ranks among the nation’s 20 largest ballet companies. Since its inception in 1978, BalletMet has made the commission and performance of new works a core organizational priority, with more than 200 World Premieres and hundreds of Company Premieres performed throughout its history.
BalletMet stages 60 to 70 performances each year at home and on tour. In the past, the company toured 28 U.S. states and internationally to Russia, Poland, Egypt, Spain and Canada.
BalletMet’s Academy has also been recognized as an institution of local and national stature. It offers hundreds of classes to roughly 1,000 students, ages 3 to 95, each year. There are a variety of opportunities to experience and learn the art of dance including free classes, complimentary tickets and student scholarships. BalletMet offers more than 60 scholarships each year to talented youth, many from underserved groups, who could not otherwise participate in dance training.

Balletmet 2024/2025 season
The 47th season will be the last programmed by current Artistic Director Edwaard Liang, and feature Dracula, The Nutcracker, West Side Story, Sleeping Beauty, and Black Voices.
- Oct. 25-Nov. 2, 2024: Dracula at Davidson Theatre stage
- Dec. 12-28, 2024: The Nutcracker at the Ohio Theatre
- Feb. 13-16, 2025: West Side Story at the Ohio Theatre. The production will be an exciting community collaboration alongside CAPA, the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, and Opera Columbus.
- May 2-4, 2025: Sleeping Beauty at the Ohio Theatre
- June 6-14, 2025: Black Voices at the Davidson Theatre. The triple-bill is a vibrant collection of three innovative ballets.
Subscriptions for BalletMet’s 47th season go on sale March 10. Single tickets for The Nutcracker will go on sale July 1, single tickets for West Side Story will be announced at a later date, and single tickets for all other productions will go on sale Aug. 1.
Ohio Theatre single ticket pricing ranges from $30-$109, and Davidson single ticket pricing ranges from $30-$93.
