The Hilliard Ohio Historical Society Historical Village is open on Saturday and Sunday from 1pm to 5pm, April 25 – September 26, 2026.

Visit and explore the log cabin, one room schoolhouse, caboose, Hilliard’s original train station and other buildings from Hilliard’s past. The museum has several new displays along with newly expanded displays and a new gift shop.
Parking is free, close to the Village and the tours are free; donations are appreciated. Docents are available to share the history of the buildings and the area. Details here.

Walking Tours of Old Hilliard

Join our historic expert for the Walking Tour of Old Hilliard. Listen to stories, learn fun facts like where the first silent movie played, where the first Hilliard bank robbery took place, where the first integrated school was in Hillard and where the first hotel was located and much, much more.

The doors are open at Historical Village for this statewide event, featuring one of our buildings from the 1800s. Enjoy refreshments and celebrate being an Ohioan. FREE admission (donations appreciated).
Heritage Day
Saturday, September 26 @ 10am-4pm. Go back in time to the 1800’s during Heritage Day at Weaver Park.
The historical village will host hands-on activities for the kids, demonstrations, artisans, an Ohio Muffins baseball exhibition, Civil War reenactors, music, food and drinks. FREE admission (donations appreciated).
Visit during the Coffee Festival
October 3 & 4: Historical Village & Museum Open 9am-6pm

Haunted Village
Friday & Saturday, October 16 & 17 @ 6pm-9pm at the Historical Village for Halloween tours. Food and drinks available.
Admission: $5 per person, kids three and under are FREE.
It’s not too spooky for the family, but a lot of fun! Join for a guided Halloween night through our decorated buildings. Food and drinks available.

December Tree Lighting Ceremony
Sunday, December 6, 2026 from 3:30pm-6:30pm
Take a trolley ride from downtown Old Hilliard to the historical village.
Mrs. Claus and elves will be in the schoolhouse with children writing letters to Santa and many other activities including village tours, balloon twister, face painting, holiday music and more. FREE admission (donations welcome)
Santa & Mrs. Claus in the Train Station
Sunday, December 13 @ 2pm-5pm
Meet Santa at the Historical Village Train Station! Children can share a Christmas list with Santa, take a horse drawn wagon ride, and drink hot chocolate. FREE admission (donations welcome)
