It’s almost time for the Easter Bunny to fill those baskets! We put together a huge list of Easter Basket Fillers for all ages! (besides the obvious and necessary Easter candy).
With young kids, we try to keep the basket light on candy, so I’m always looking for other non-candy Easter basket fillers.
Their birthdays are in fall and winter, so this is a good chance to give them spring and summer essentials, like swimsuits, a summer outfit, bubbles, and other items for outdoor fun. It’s also a good time to replace school and art supplies, which I stock up on during back-to-school sales.

Basket examples ages 2 and 4
The best way to shop for any holiday or birthday is to shop all year long for these items. At the end of the summer, when the kids were young, I’d stock up on clearance bubbles, sidewalk chalk, clothing for the following year, and other summer toys and essentials when they are 75% off.
Try to go to Target or another store a few days to a week after any major holiday and scour their holiday clearance for items that can be used for gifts on a later occasion or for the following year (if holiday themed).
I keep the gifts in a storage tote until I need them. It feels great knowing a holiday is coming up and I don’t need to run to the store or pay full-price for anything – and it’s especially helpful this year!
If you missed the clearance sales, Target Dollar Spot and The Dollar Tree are great places to shop for items that are $1-$5. You can definitely fill up baskets from these two stores alone. You can fill the basket with Easter-themed trinkets and toys, but I prefer to include items that they need and/or will play with throughout the year.
We’ve gathered a big list of Easter Basket Fillers from Amazon on one page, so you can shop for everyone in one spot! Or use our suggestions below to shop wherever you want!
