The Shamrock Club celebrates St. Patrick’s Day with the annual Irish Family Reunion on Thursday, March 17, 2022, after the parade in Downtown Columbus.
Saint Patrick’s Day Mass and St. Patrick’s Day parade
The annual Shamrock Club Saint Patrick’s Day Mass is 9:30 am at Saint Patrick’s Church, 280 N. Grant Avenue. The Procession to Mass will form at 8:30 am at the corner of Naghten Street and Neilston Street. The Procession will step off at 9:00 am and go east on Naghten Street to Saint Patrick’s Church at the Northeast corner of Naghten Street and Grant Avenue. Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am.
The Shamrock Club Saint Patrick’s Day parade forms immediately after Mass at the staging area at West Broad Street and Washington Blvd. The Parade starts forming at 10:30 am, and will step off at 11:45 am. The route is East on Broad to High and North on High were it will disband at Nationwide Blvd.
Shamrock Club Irish Family Reunion
The Shamrock Club Irish Family Reunion returns to the Columbus Convention Center on March 17 for the huge St. Patrick’s Day Celebration! Doors will open at 11 am, and the Irish Celebration begins at 1 pm after the parade. It will feature dance schools and live entertainment by some of the best Irish performers.
Coolers with food and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted; no alcoholic beverages may be brought in, but are available for purchase. Food and beer are also available for purchase.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for children age 5 to 17 if purchased in advanced. Children 4 and under are still free. Tables for 10 can be reserved for $150. You must reserve a table if you want a guarantee place to sit. Tables and tickets are available by contacting the office and are also on sale at each General Membership Meeting. Proclamation Day
The 2022 Proclamation Day Ceremony at Columbus City Council Chambers is tba. There will be a Mass at 8:30 am at St. Christopher Church 1420 Grandview Ave Grandview, OH. This will be followed by a buffet breakfast at Byrne’s Pub 1248 W. Third Ave Grandview. Cost for the breakfast will be $10 pp with proceeds benefiting Get behind the Badge Charity.
The Proclamation Ceremony will be held at Columbus City Council Chambers. The ceremony will start promptly at 10:45 am. The Ceremony should conclude by 11:45 am after which we will line up in front of City Hall and March to Broad and High Streets for the painting of the Shamrock’s.
