Cartoon Crossroads Columbus (CXC) is back for its 11th year, running September 18–21, 2025. The citywide festival celebrates cartoon art, comics, animation, and storytelling. Some events require tickets, but many are free!
Events are held at venues including the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum, Columbus College of Art & Design, the Columbus Museum of Art, Columbus Metropolitan Library, Gateway Film Center, and the Wexner Center for the Arts.
Cartoon Crossroads Columbus
This year’s special guests include:
- Charles Burns – Creator of Black Hole and Final Cut
- Ann Telnaes – Pulitzer Prize-winning editorial cartoonist
- Ray Billingsley – Creator of the syndicated comic strip Curtis
- Michel Fiffe – Independent comics creator of Copra
- John Musker – Disney animator and director of The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and Moana
- Other featured creators include Lucy Knisley (Relish), Tony Moore (The Walking Dead), Mimi Pond (Over Easy), Raúl the Third (Vamos!), Katie Cook (Nothing Special), and many more.
Organizers say the 2025 edition will be one of the most diverse yet, with guests from Columbus and across the globe working in comics, graphic novels, kids’ comics, editorial cartoons, and animation.
