Award-winning poet Barbara Fant visits the Bexley Public Library to celebrate the release of her latest poetry collection, Joy in the Belly of a Riot, which has been called “a healing balm in times of sustained uncertainty and a rock upon which we can build and sustain a foundation of joy.” Barbara will perform poems and discuss the creative process behind the new collection.
Columbus poet and author Hanif Abdurraqib will join Barbara for a reading and conversation.

Join Emily Morgan of Lovely But Dead for a special analog collage workshop this October, exploring ghostly forms and spectral imagery through paper. Participants will learn precision blade techniques, tunnel layering, and traditional collage methods to create delicate, otherworldly apparitions from found images. No previous art experience is required – this workshop is open to artists of all levels, from beginners to experienced artists looking to refine their skills. All necessary materials will be provided, so all you need to bring is your creativity!
