Meet PBS characters at Second Saturday Kids Days with WOSU Public Media

Second Saturday Kids Days are free events that take place in the Ross Community Studio at the WOSU Public Media headquarters.

Each Second Saturday event features a new theme to explore that combines imagination, interaction and technology to explore art, science, math and reading. Children will experience learning through PBS Kids characters they already know and love.

The event is free, but advanced registration is required.

Second Saturday Kids Days with WOSU

Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 9:00-11:00am

This month we have exciting hands on learning experiences and activities. Meet special guest Rosie from the hit PBS show Rosie’s Rules, make a community helper hat, and more!

This month, attendees will receive a free Alma’s Way tambourine or pencil pouch! One per child while supplies lasts.

Activities include:

• Make a community helper hat
• Play a community helper matching game
• Color
• Airbrush artist
• Book Nook
• Meet and Greet with Rosie

Materials may be limited and activities are on a first-come, first-served basis. The event is free, but advance registration is required.

When Ann and Tom DiMarco first learned about WOSU’s new headquarters, they looked beyond the physical space to what could happen inside the building.

They tailored the focus of their gift to match what is important to them – families and children. The generous gift from the DiMarco family provides program funding for the inaugural three years of Second Saturday Kids Days for Central Ohio families.
