Walking Tour: Walnut Grove Cemetery

Tour Walnut Grove on foot this Memorial Day weekend and see the cemetery at its finest when it is filled with hundreds of flags to mark the holiday. Steffanie Haueisen will share many highlights of the cemetery, primarily in the older, western half of the site. Visit the resting places of many of the people who built Worthington’s foundation. Many Worthington area streets are named after those buried at Walnut Grove who contribute to Worthington’s rich history. The tour will meet by the office near the Milton Street entrance and will be about one and a half hours. Parking is available by the service buildings as well as along the roads. Rain or shine!
