The Paradygm Shyft Party Band is performing at Otie’s Grill on December 1, 2018, from 8p.m. to midnight and raising funds for the Marine “Toys For Tots” 2018 Campaign. There is no cover charge and no tickets need to be purchased, maximizing donations. Groups large and small can be accommodated at Otie’s.
“Our engaging and upbeat music always makes our fans feel good, but, during the holiday season, we wanted to include a fundraising event that helps many Central Ohio kids feel good, especially after the show,” said Ray Smith, a Paradygm Shyft band member. “Everyone in Central Ohio is invited to our parties, and on December 1st, we can all help as many kids as possible experience the joy of the holidays.”
Otie’s Grill, located at 5344 Center Street in Hilliard, offers a family-friendly menu of American and Greek favorites, drink specials and live music. To make the event extra special, all guests are encouraged to wear favorite Santa, elf and reindeer hats. An “Ugly Sweater Contest” also will be part of the evening’s festivities, with the winner receiving a Paradygm Shyft t-shirt to cover that thing up!
“The holiday season has always been a time to be thankful for family and friends, and we are humbled at the desire of this community to be proactive, with helping less fortunate families in the Columbus area,” said Sgt. Abner Corona, from Marine Toys For Tots. “On behalf of the Toys For Tots Foundation, I want to thank you for giving back and serving the community in a great way. Semper Fidelis.”
Toys for Tots was created in 1947 when a group of Marines recognized a need in this country to help the underprivileged children of America and found a way to fill that need. Over the years, more than 416 million toys have been distributed to more than 195 million children across America, delivering the joy of Christmas and a message of hope. Here in Columbus, Ohio, and the surrounding counties of Central Ohio, Lima Company 3rd Battalion, 25th Marines is the Marine Corps local representation. Last year, the group collected and distributed more than 100,000 toys to local children for Christmas.
The Paradygm Shyft Party Band is a group of seven professional musical entertainers, who shyft across the widest variety of genres and songs to create customized musical performances. The band performs the best dance, dinner/corporate/wedding, disco, folk, funk, grunge, hip hop, island, latin, modern country, oldies, pop, R&B, Reggae, rock (alt, classic, modern), Rockabilly, sing-a-longs, soul, surf, and Top 40 favorites, along with personal party hits! The band performs at festivals, public and corporate events, wedding receptions, graduations, anniversaries and private parties.
