Move Your Music Forward presents the July workshop featuring acclaimed songwriter, bass player, arranger, and producer Jeff Ciampa on July 10, 2021 from noon – 1:30 pm. During the workshop, “The Mindset of a Working Musician”, Jeff Ciampa will take you through his journey in songwriting, producing songs for television and commercials, and playing bass in many successful bands and give you the tools needed to get your head ready for the music business.
This won’t be a class about how to win a Grammy (though he could probably give you some insight on that), or what deal to sign, but a comprehensive class on making it in the real, always changing, world of music as a career. You may know him as the bass player for several bands in Columbus such as Hoodoo Soul Band, Popgun, and Birdshack but did you know he worked with Wayne Shorter on his record Emanon (Grammy Award for Best Jazz Instrumental Album 2019). A passionate songwriter, arranger, and producer Jeff is the prime example of a person that has made music his way of life. Producing, mixing, writing, all while holding on to the passion that brings us all joy when we first pluck those guitar strings (or in his case bass).
