Rougarou: Journey to the End of the Night is a street game event combining elements of a 5K, tag, and scavenger hunt and will take place in downtown Columbus on Saturday, September 20, 2014. It is free and open to the public. The game will start outside the Wexner Center near OSU campus at 7 pm, and participants will follow a map through the streets of Columbus, completing tasks and running from “werewolves.” The game ends at the Gateway Film Center, where an after party will be held from 9 pm to 11 pm and participants can watch old werewolf movies and share their experiences. While the game is fun for all ages, the after party is more suitable for adults ages 18 and up.
Find out more information about JEN at columbusjen.org, and you can pre-register for the event. They need lots of volunteers with all aspects, so if you’d rather watch than participate, check out the details here.
Journey to the End of the Night is being hosted by Columbus Creative Cooperative, a local arts organization, in promotion of the recent release of the novel Hagridden by Samuel Snoek-Brown, which is published by Columbus Press Books, a part of CCC. The theme “Rougarou,” a Creole werewolf, is inspired by Snoek-Brown’s novel. Snoek-Brown will be a special guest at the after party.
