Heroes get free admission to Columbus Zoo on Veterans Day! The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium offers free admission for active and former military personnel and their families on Wednesday, November 11, 2020, in honor of Veterans Day.
Military personnel must show military ID, and veterans must show proof of service. Only immediate family (spouse and kids) living in the same household are eligible for free admission. The offer is only available at the Zoo’s entrance. Note: at this time the Zoo does not have any required registration information listed. Please check back closer to the event to verify; we will add updates if we see any.
There are plenty of indoor attractions if it’s a chilly day at the Columbus Zoo for Veterans Day! Pop in for a tropical vacation at Discovery Reef and Manatee Coast. Visit Bob & Evelyn’s Roadhouse with animals from Down Under. Meet the gorillas in the Congo, check out the reptile building, and explore Asia Quest and the elephants. Many animals thrive in the cold weather. The polar bears swim year round in pool water maintained at a comfortable (for them) 40-65 degrees.
Note: some indoor options may be closed or modified to accommodate necessary distancing measures. Mask must be worn .
Please note that there is still a $10 parking fee per car for non-Zoo members. The Zoo will be open from 10 am – 5 pm.
