Leap Day only comes around every 4 years, so it deserves observance of the “holiday”. Destination Grandview, Drink Up Columbus and Grandview Theater and Drafthouse are planning the best Leap Day party around on Saturday, February 29, 2020.
This 2nd Quadrennial Leap Day in Grandview is inspired by this 30 Rock episode “Leap Day,”. The evening will be full of Leap Day traditions: yellow and blue decorations, all the rhubarb you can eat (and drink!). Don’t forget about the the main man himself, Leap Day William! Leap Day is a special day. You can do all the things you normally wouldn’t because it’s not really real. Real life is for March!
This event will support the Franklin County Dog Shelter & Adoption Center. ALL proceeds from ticket and t-shirt sales as well as a portion of bar sales will be donated to the shelter. $5 tickets include admission to the screening of 30 Rock, a raffle ticket, and a small popcorn with M&Ms! The $25 tickets include the above and also this year’s Leap Day 2020 t-shirt from our friends at Tonic Studios. Get tickets here!
Leap Day in Grandview
Start the celebration off at Grandview Theater at 2:30pm on Saturday, February 29. Grab a rhubarb-infused beer or cocktail and pet the adoptable Leap Dogs from the shelter. Get your picture taken with THE Leap Day William!
At 3pm, there will be a raffle drawing before screening the iconic 30 Rock Leap Day episode on the big screen! After the screening, leap along Grandview Avenue for even more Leap Day magic, including drink specials and other Leap Deals at participating businesses.
Don’t forget to wear blue and yellow… OR ELSE! “Poke your eye, pull your hair, you forgot which clothes to wear!”
