To celebrate Black History Monty, the Ohio Statehouse presents Free Wednesday Concerts in February! Each Wednesday in February, school bands will be performing at noon in the statehouse crypt. Don’t miss these free concerts! Scheduled to perform are:

Living History
Living history programs will honor Black History Month each Thursday in February. At noon you can see live interpreters portraying prominent African Americans of U.S. history. Scheduled living history performances include:
Feb. 4: “Milton Holland” Civil War Soldier, Presented in the Capitol Atrium
Feb. 11: “Phyllis Wheatley” African American poet during the American Revolution, Presented in the Capitol Atrium
Feb. 18: “John Parker” Underground Railroad conductor, Presented in the Crypt
Feb. 25: “Rosa Parks” civil rights activist, Presented in the Capitol Atrium
