The YWCA is hosting a New to You Accessory Party on Tuesday, May 11, 2010, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. This girls’ night out party will feature bargain-priced accessories for purchase, music, silent auctions, appetizers, and beverages. Early bird registration through May 4th is only $25.00 and includes $5.00 Y-cash. Standard registration is $30.00.
All ticket and accessory sales benefit local women in need, including the “My Sisters Fund” which provides emergency, no-interest loans to women in the YWCA Women’s Residence Program.
Do you have accessories lying around that you no longer wear? In order to have a successful fundraiser, the YWCA needs to collect handbags, jewelry, scarves, hats, gloves, and sunglasses to sell at the party. Everyone has some items that were purchased on an impulse, received as a gift, or are just no longer used. Here’s how to donate….
Step 1: Gather your new or gently used accessories.
Step 2: Fill out a donation form.
Step 3: Drop off your donation and completed form at the YWCA‘s front desk 24 hours a day or call 614.627.1246 to schedule a home or workplace pick-up.
